You Are So Dead To Me

Joe Cocker, the singer and songwriter whose hits like “You Are So Beautiful” made him a legendary star, has died, his agent told the BBC. He was 70 years old.

    Story here:
    http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...er-dead-at-70/

His list of "hits" were kind of ghey. In fact, Joe is the only rock star to have a top 10 and still look like a filthy hippie.

Given the amount of seizures the man had on stage, I'm surprised he ever made it to 70.

Still, he's the only human being to ever cover a Beatles song without embarrassing himself and destroying his career. Probably everyone (with the possible exception of Ringo) will admit Joe did that one better.

    Rest In Seizure, Mr. Cocker.

Wow he was only 70? He looked that about 30 years ago as he made me get sick while he sang.*

RIP man. Never liked your stage presence or songs but...the Daisies you will push up will brighten my day.

Bleh. Only will speak ill of the living...so again RIP man.

My favourite Joe Cocker story was that in 1987 his Dad found an uncashed record company check for a couple of hundred grand in a drawer dated 1971.

The equivalent of 40 years average salary in those days and he forgot about it going on a massive binge instead when he was never a rich guy. He only cleared $1000 from his tour that year.

    Awesome.

I despised that crappy show The Wonder Years. When I heard Joe start singing I about crapped my pants because I knew that shitty show was coming on.

The only thing more rock and roll than that would be setting the check on fire to light up a joint.

  10. Thanked Nitro Express for this KICKASS post:
