Shared on facebook by Greg Renoff. An uptight panel of US Senators watches Van Halen's 'Hot For Teacher' during the PMRC Hearings, 1985. (Otherwise known as the time a senator allowed his wife to waste everyone's time and money. Apparently, the Democrats don't remember the first amendment either.)

Probably the best time they ever had in session! Note the applause at the end.

The applause was funny... Funnier was seeing video, of the video, being played on a 4:3 screen!

My most cringe-worthy moment was the woman trying to parent their kids from Congress. (We can't be with our children because we have to be here.) and the fact that traditionally, at her age in the 80s, her kids would probably have been in college or later.
