I'm sorry if I offended anyone and for taking a shot at the website but that is truly shocking. I've never heard anything so bad from what is supposed to be one of the greatest bands ever. To release that crap is just an insult. They should burn that or redo the vocals in the studio. To ask people to pay for that is just plain rotten.

For what it's worth. I just talked to a good friend of mine who owns a record store in Indianapolis and he checked upcoming releases through May. No Van Halen.

As far as Dave's singing, I remember the 2013 Japanese performances were considered as better than those of 2012 by a majority here...

As to what was put online as audio from the upcoming live album, maybe it's only work in progress. If so, talking about progress it can only improve.

Not me. I've been saying it sucked the whole time. Audience recordings have the benefit of the music and the crowd overloading the vocals. You pull it off the board, relatively clean, and there's no hiding it. Does that mean going to a VH show sucks? Not at all. It's still a hell of a good time. But the band releasing this live record was a huge fuck up.
