It's really weird to realize that the early VH were actually a hard rock fucking dance band. These guys were more pop than metal, so the concept changed the framework and structure of radio music for years. And you can hear it here: They sound like The Ohio Players and ZZ Top drunkenly jamming in a topless bar someplace in Nevada.

I remember getting a bootleg of VH at the Starwood in '76 on cassette back in the late 80s. They did this one and Piece Of Mind (10,000 Bad Women). I remember thinking back then, how could such monster riffs just be discarded? They weren't Dave's best lyrics, but his singing kicked ass.
