Fryingdutchman, notice Dave has a little more hair than his appearance with the Foo Fighters and suddenly his voice is sounding pretty good?
Bet you feel pretty stupid now, huh?

I really love you baby, I love what you've got
Let's get together we can, Get hot
Too bad Dave puts the crowd asleep with his stupid stories and cringe yelps during what is otherwise a ripping performance...
And he looks like he's been smoking crack...
And this is just plain PATHETIC!!
Small victories, E. I was expecting an absolute train wreck. I'll take a boring story or two if it means Dave sounds like a person
I hear ya, but even his cringe yelps are even starting to fail him in that one...
He says he never watches himself...
I often wonder if there will come a time where the rest of the band will just say, "Stick to the baritone. If we wanted a higher register, Sammy would be in the band." I don't think the performances are terrible... but I'd be lying if I said that during the Kimmel show there wasn't a couple of times I said to the TV, "Stop, Dave..."
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...
You can see it all over Ed's face...
Hey ALMOSTsaved. Long time no read. Welcome back!
Apart from the now notorious dtna am going with Dave much better than expected and wtf I will put my neck out and say I enjoyed the vids.
Anyway, I find Ed's soloing to be quite remarkable.
DLR has several injuries attributed to his performance styles.
This is the second reported staff one.
He has one from the eighties with the sword .
Then there is the famous -low ceiling- in Germany (?) back in the 70s when he smashed his nose on the mirror ball after drum riser splits leap.
I also have slight info on a huge injury to his right thigh.
Battle Wounds.
I wonder how many haven't made the press.

Saw this last night at the bar and the very first thing everyone did was speculate on what exactly happened.
I just thought maybe he did so much blow that his fuckin' beak exploded. Been there done that. Don't you hate when that happens?
Now that we know what did happen, I still like my guess better.

Good thing Ed didn't pull one'a these moves.
I meant in front of millions of people worldwide...
Nah, I suppose you'd still try it...
Elvis...you have to admit Dave had some pretty slick Stage moves and poses/gyrations (lol) versus the last tour....give him that much
Roth Army Canada
I thought he looked dumb, out of touch and crackhead thin...
Ed looked healthy and acted normally...
Here's a text I got today from a bass player friend of mine that I told Van Halen was airing last night:
"Eddie sounds great but dlr has lost it"
I think it's safe to say that's the gist of what most casual fans think when they see a "performance" like that...
This is the only clip they should have aired live if they really want to sell that Tokyo crap...
Dave sounds like crap on that too, and that's the easiest song he's got...
Fantastic that he looked healthy, but acted "normally"? He was kinda wooden and boring. I've seen him play phenomenally and put a little wiggle in it. I think the visual show should be provided by the three guys out in front. You know damn well Dave had a well choreographed live show with Mike and Ed on up through 1984. Ed and Wolf are statues. They need to look more lively in my opinion.

His nose wasn't hanging off, he got a scratch...
And his vocals were about the same before and after, and he didn't sound terrible on Panama and the screams were nice...
I think he was loaded and his voice is still way tired...
We all had high hopes, but he didn't deliver..again...
That's more like it...
