So lemme see, is the rumor now that VH is going to be a trio? Please tell me it's true. I will pay good money, hell I'll buy those 800 buck a seat tickets to go see and film this train wreck.

No... the young prodigy is doing a solo record with is buddies. Maybe a guest appearance by his pops and/or uncles...

A few weeks ago Wolfgang was posting pics with several of his Dad's vintage guitars... even the original Frankie. Also in the pics was a few of Wolf's musician buddies... bunch of young punks not old guys fartin dust...

Ed mentioned Wolfgang doing an album and it being out around the end of the year at the Smithsonian appearance.

So...

(1) Dave's media down during prime time, when the band is prepping to launch (and tour for????) the live album.
(2) No sight of Dave (or his scalp) since Poo Fighters performance.
(3) Ed appears at the Smithsonian, tells his childhood stories (again), plays some excerpts from Eruption (again), and then announces his son's solo project, who is also bassist in VH while working with both Tremonti and Alter Bridge and performing on cruise ships. Ed is happy about it.
(4) At same Smithsonian appearance, Ed also says he doesn't know where the hell Dave is. Fan base responds with speculation and head scratching.
(5) Mike's return for (assumed) summer tour is a long shot and would be complicated at best, since he's touring with Spam's Circle Jerk band during the same time (already confirmed). Ralph Saenz declares VH cannot tour without Mike. Sammy agrees. No comment from Mike's mullet.
(6) Tremonti live dates set for April 26th and May 15th, no indication from either camp so far as to whether or not Wolf is involved. This is not good because without Wolf involved, no one cares about Tremonti.
(7) Ed and Alex sign with new publishing company to handle their music catalogue. This may or may not include the vault of "lost" material. More head scratching.
(8) Brian Geller (Atomic Punks) posts, then retracts, a tweet announcing Van Halen's performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 30th. Fan base over-reacts, hyper-speculates. Kimmel has also hosted Chickenfoot and Steel Panther (Ralph's current band). Coincidence?
(9) Kody Van Halen ignores desperate requests for any sort of comment on anything.

I would so impressed if the band and management is trolling the internet/media. Pulling a U2 plus and the March 31 release is also a new record since they were recording last year. That would be way to organized for these guys but impressive if they pulled that off including the leak to the Canada station. Sadly it is likely just bad organization on their part but the surprise release is a new trend.

Indications are that it's a legal issue probably with CBS, not to mention Jeff at VHND stated it has nothing to do with VH....

I got it!!! Dave should sell advertising space on his head! Every show he could have a different sponsor - Jack Daniels one nite, Marlboro one nite, Vagisil, Slim Jim, Budweiser, Redbull, Viagra, Tampax - it's better than the Goodyear Blimp!!

Ted Nugent is already doing the headdress thing. I think Dave should dress as a chimney sweep from Mary Poppins. In his solo spot he can do a Broadway style version of Chim-Chiminey. He can have a chorus line of midgets come out.
