There's only one person who knows IF Dave can sing anymore - Dave. And he ain't telling.
But if I had to choose between seeing this current version of VH and seeing Dave with Mikey and whoever else - I'm paying my money to see Dave and Mikey. Get a great drummer and somebody who can play Ed's stuff and it would sound more like Van Halen than this live record. Plus I wouldn't have to sit through Ed's interminably long solo he's been playing for 37 years.
Dave sang Panama with the foo fighters last week or something and it was better than the live release.
Maybe it's not his singing , maybe he is deaf and doesn't know there is actually a tune. After listening to the Japan Panama thingy I wished I was.
Yes, but his hair looked good in Tokyo. I forgot to add that in to my opinion. Nice hair = plus 4 on the performance scale. So the Tokyo performance gets a 2 out of a possible 10.
How his hair looks has a direct correlation to his singing ability

fuck playing Ed's stuff... dave shouldn't bother doing VH songs anymore, except for maybe a one or two off... Its time for Dave to do something different with a group of different musicians who are all driven in the same direction with the same might...
