bc its more respectable to pour your heart into something you're passionate about for a few hundred ppl than settle for being part of the sell out that VH has become. and i dont think DLR solo would "work", but a brand new band? ah yeah. i think id still stick with peart or lee for a drummer, anthony on bass, get a keyboardist...

That was a clever quote about not taking care of something special... The sad truth is Dave treats his voice and singing ability like a fucking rented mule.

I don't understand why Dave chose to limit his ability to produce music outside of VH. If it was a stipulation to work with the brothers then ok but it should have had an expiration date. I can't see Dave doing much solo work either... Too hard to work for... Too few to work with... No one to manage any of it long enough to keep it afloat.
