They fucked up and picked the wrong Mick Jones. Not that the "Big Audio Dynamite" sound would have really been Van Halen compatible either, but anybody who heard "Foreigner 4" or anything after that would know THAT Mick Jones had no interest in rock & roll anymore.

Me either. First thing I heard about it was that they turned a disaster movie into a goddamned love story. Second thing I heard was that the theme song was by that anorexic French Canadian chick with the godawful squealing voice. Based on those two facts alone, I decided I would never subject myself to that movie. If I want to watch a boat sink, I'll watch the Poseidon Adventure. Yeah it's vintage 70s Irwin Allen cheese, but at least it's not sappy cheese.

Ok, the whole "no VH fan watches Ellen" thing may be true, but these days, the die-hards will all be setting their DVRs for this. Every true fan will be tuning in one way or another. If they say they won't, they're full of shit. As I said on a different thread, they could have an appearance on the View and we'd all be watching.
