RIP BRO!!!
\m/(>.<)\m/
bump...............
55 heart attack.
We have members older than that...
Okay, I know many of you live in your perpetual 1985 dreamworld of spandex, hairspray and endless retard bands but for the life of me, I had thought WARF was somehow above Twisted Sister.
Does make me smile when one of your F A T aging hippie "rockers" buys a farm. More oxygen for Katy Perry to breathe.
Fuck man, I'm trying to live like its 1981...and Katy Perry sucks
Don't ever be disisn' on Katy.
AJ was a good player and truly a friend to all musicians on Long Island and later on upstate. I had caught up with him just the past few months while he recorded with Tod Howarth. He was in great spirits and full of piss and vinegar as always. This is was very unexpected.
FYI Kristy Twisted Sister had some hits in the 80's but they are actually a 70's bar band and were huge in New York for a decade before anyone nationally noticed. They got packaged as hair metal but really they are a bare bones straight rock band built around on attitude and hard work more so than any great talent. You would be hard pressed to find a band that "made it" that remained as local and community involved as the TS clan. Hate the music, make up, schtick, etc... don't hate on the people.
RIP
Nope, I gotta hate da people. I jus' gotta.
Twisted Sister was another in a long line of 80's corporate (MTV) rock. I'm willing to say not one of them hesitated to sign on the line when it came to selling their souls. And that video was one of the most asinine things I've ever seen.
Actually all of them but one hesitated at the time and that was JJ.
Well you be you then Kristy and no that video was not the most asinine thing. Leader of the Pack was by far the most stupid video of all time and all involved with it will admit today publicly.
You do realize it's 2015, right?
Yes I know it is because as a wise person said my weed is legal so can't possibly 1985. Which is a good thing as I am a cannabis private equity fund manager and in 1985 that likely would mean prison. I try to tell my son daddy is not drug dealer he is a drug investor, totally different.
And I do mean this Kristy, you should have a column to channel your writing. Not sure how often I'd agree but I would read it.
rip mister sister. fuckof kristy
you cunt
With respect you're ignorant on this.
TW were hardly the most sophisticated musically but there was tongue in cheek humor going on there and they were not dumb.
Go back and look at Dee Snider at your silly congress place and his eloquent(successful) defense of your right to now enjoy songs about 'kissing a girl' and so forth.
Oh, you must mean Dee's charade on Tipper Gore's PMRC. I've read her book - now that's what's humorousness here. What did Dee really resolve? CD's were labeled and have been since 198-something so, nothing, really. Nice try. Next you'll tell me you use a garden rake to shovel snow.
He was no Phil Collins.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
Actually the record labels found out albums sold better with the PARENT ADVISORY labels so they wanted them. Bands liked it too from a rebel perspective. Now kids can download all the filthiest porn and music to their hearts desire. I mean that whole PMRC thing in hindsight is a big joke.
Hey Krusty! Why don't you jab a needle into one of your Vag lips and shut the fuck up!
R.I.P. AJ!
Sure thing, you strangely homophobic yet highly defensive of a cross-dressing pseudo-metal hair band white trash moron.
She roars
Looks like this 80's spandex washed-up retard can barely dress himself.
You gotta hate and be you but there are a lot of living people to spew at. Rip his act or whatever but calling someone who you actually never met retard, moron, etc... on the day he passed and while friends are family are grieving while making funeral arrangements is really making a comment more about yourself that you see it as a good time for that.
AJ was a sweet guy and very much beloved in his community regardless of what you think of his act. Attack the act, or better yet for just a few days go attack anyone of the billions of people whose family is not grieving and is trying to decide what his wishes were since he felt he would never die.
Reconsider your timing and consider refocussing. You are defaming yourself more than anyone else here.
Hate!? What you fail to see time and time again is my love for Katy.
Perhaps it is you who is the hater here.
Thank you
Oh, and I do understand he was some sort of hero of yours. He comes from a time of your generation where hair bands ruled the planet and everything was all right with the world and that somehow a part of you died with him.
But let's be honest here, he was a third-rate musician in a nostalgic touring dog and pony act. The dude was overweight, could have been suffering from Type II diabetes, had issues with drugs and alcohol in the past that might have led up to his untimely death. I'm willing to say his heart attack could have been prevented if he took much better care of himself.
Obviously, he did not a shit about his health.
Nope no hero just good hearted guy who doesn't deserve name calling on the day he died.
He did jack in regard to his health for a long time and indeed had diabetes challenges about 10 years ago but actually had lost weight and been doing well health wise hence the surprise.
Yes he had a blue color biker mentality and is from a cliché era. He actually was a solid musician. He came from a long line of musicians in his family, he studied classical composition, and few know this but he actually was a fairly solid saxophone player and that was his primary instrument growing up.
Attack the cliché, but don't call the man retard, moron, etc... on the day he passes especially when you seem ignorant on the actual person himself.
No hero, just was a hard working guy with all the flaws of any of us have.
RIP
You take what I say way too personally. Sorry, if that's the case but if I'm "attacking" him it's largely due to the band he was in was a fucking joke (just like Katy). They were a gimmick MTV corporate act who most likely lived the bullshit rock 'n' roll lifestyle of substance abuse. That may be a judgement call but by the looks of them not one of them seemed to savor their success but rather expend it on self abuse and failure to take care of themselves. I'd say the same about Katy if her chubby thighs became any more ridiculous.
Could be he was not part of my generation of self-absorption, Facebook, Twitter and a Mac Book in a Starbucks but I have little sympathy for those who purposefully abuse themselves health wise and die from an untimely death as a result. Heart disease (upon which I have no doubt your rock star drummer was suffering from) is largely preventable. It is retarded to ignore your own health.
Calm down. Take a Xanax and relive those MTV years in your mind.
Is it just me or does anyone else find insulting musicians on the day of their death disgusting?
Thing is, WARF, your F A T drummer has been dead for days. He's fair game.
Right, Cherry Creek. Where the Denver rich yuppie go to conglomerate in complaint on how their BMW's and $2,000 Gucci suits share the same space as the "little people." Fucking amazes me how those who had nothing to do with Amendment 64 and pussified themselves for years for fears of the Feds now come here and speak on behalf on those who did take action. National Cannabis Chamber of Commerce sounds much like a Libertardian front which it probably is.
Tell you what, push for legalization in your own state and we'll talk.
I hung in Cherry Hills. Played the Cherry Hills Country Club course a few times. My time in Denver was quite nice I might say.
Seems ironic someone who is baked on weed all the time is critical of someone not taking care of themselves. Even high Kristy you sound like one miserable fuck.
Oh, for fuck's sake, WARF. Your F A T drummer lived until 55. He did his drugs, rotted his liver, screwed some groupies and became a pseudo-rock star. He lived a fuller life than most of you.
