Okay, I know many of you live in your perpetual 1985 dreamworld of spandex, hairspray and endless retard bands but for the life of me, I had thought WARF was somehow above Twisted Sister.
Does make me smile when one of your F A T aging hippie "rockers" buys a farm. More oxygen for Katy Perry to breathe.Comment

AJ was a good player and truly a friend to all musicians on Long Island and later on upstate. I had caught up with him just the past few months while he recorded with Tod Howarth. He was in great spirits and full of piss and vinegar as always. This is was very unexpected.
FYI Kristy Twisted Sister had some hits in the 80's but they are actually a 70's bar band and were huge in New York for a decade before anyone nationally noticed. They got packaged as hair metal but really they are a bare bones straight rock band built around on attitude and hard work more so than any great talent. You would be hard pressed to find a band that "made it" that remained as local and community involved as the TS clan. Hate the music, make up, schtick, etc... don't hate on the people.

Nope, I gotta hate da people. I jus' gotta.
Twisted Sister was another in a long line of 80's corporate (MTV) rock. I'm willing to say not one of them hesitated to sign on the line when it came to selling their souls. And that video was one of the most asinine things I've ever seen.Comment

Well you be you then Kristy and no that video was not the most asinine thing. Leader of the Pack was by far the most stupid video of all time and all involved with it will admit today publicly.Comment

Yes I know it is because as a wise person said my weed is legal so can't possibly 1985. Which is a good thing as I am a cannabis private equity fund manager and in 1985 that likely would mean prison. I try to tell my son daddy is not drug dealer he is a drug investor, totally different.Comment
