The 83 "War" Tour was U2's first headlner tour in the US, so they were playing the smaller concert venues. College basketball gyms and theaters, for the most part. Saw them at the Paramount in Seattle (would have been better at The Gorge, but it didn't exist yet). And The Alarm opened for them, so that made the entire show great.

Well that sort of abomination would explain the lousy weather which almost resulted in the show being cancelled.
(not that crappy weather is all that uncommon at Red Rocks. Last time I went there I was in the middle of a tornado. Which I didn't even know was a tornado until I saw it mentioned on the Denver local news a few hours later)Eat Us And Smile

My dead head buds were hitching everywhere gone for months following the dead blasted out of their minds on that music and other "things" I got the jive and hep jazz of it all and saw them a few times but I guess Red Rock in the 70s was quite the trip when GD were playing.
To me every show was another 98 min version of, trucking.2015 once smoke 2 smoke ...poke
