Have to be tacked on to the end. 'Cause they ain't no room during the tour. I can't see them filling the place 2 or 3 nites anyway.

I thought the MSG thing was blocked out for one possible show, not 3 possibles.

Fortunately I am off for the CLE and TO shows. Anything else close is on a work day, but I had already decided if I travel this time it would only be to Toronto.

Pre-game for CLE is going to be rough. There is NOTHING out by Blossom. They had been cracking down on drinking in the parking lot but there seems to be a lot of partying on hillbilly nights. Aftershow could always be at the Hard Rock Rocksino.

I can't remember what I paid last tour for pretty close floor seats. I wanna say 2 bills each. I could go cheap and sit in the lawn at Cockmaster Pavilion but I hate sitting in the lawn. Buncha goddamn hippies at every show, regardless of who's playing. And then you have your assorted skanks and white trash, all drunker'n hell and thinkin' they're front row at a Skynyrd show.

Nope. Might have gone to a HSAS show if he had toured with that lineup, but I don't believe that ever happened. The album itself was from a live gig in the Bay Area. Wasn't remotely interested in Hagar's "Can't drive 55" tour or whatever the fuck it was called.

I saw that tour. I also saw Hagar open for Boston, where I took this pic of Tom Scholz on March the 8th, 1979 at Henry Levitt Arena in Wichita, KS. Sorry for the quality, just grabbed the first one.

The 83 "War" Tour was U2's first headlner tour in the US, so they were playing the smaller concert venues. College basketball gyms and theaters, for the most part. Saw them at the Paramount in Seattle (would have been better at The Gorge, but it didn't exist yet). And The Alarm opened for them, so that made the entire show great.

Well that sort of abomination would explain the lousy weather which almost resulted in the show being cancelled.

(not that crappy weather is all that uncommon at Red Rocks. Last time I went there I was in the middle of a tornado. Which I didn't even know was a tornado until I saw it mentioned on the Denver local news a few hours later)
