I guess it's time to cut the bullshit and get serious. I doubt Diamond Dave will try to put another band together unless he releases the stuff he did with John 5 and it sells or at least generates a decent amount of interest. I have serious doubts Van Halen will put out any new material but they might tour one more time based on the success of this last tour. Dave releasing the John 5 stuff will probably depend on whether Ed and Alex are even open to thinking about doing another tour. If so the John 5 stuff will probably remain unrealesed until Van Halen finally calls it quits permanently. It might depend on whether Wolfie finds a niche outside of VH or not. What was the last word on the Tremonti project?

It's not as bad as it used to be. Some of the people who used to post here would turn any personal info you gave out against you if they could every chance they got. They used to tell one former member her child committed suicide because of her. She was a little out there and posted crazy shit sometimes but nothing that would make that seem OK to a rational human being.mostly the depression is that we don't share personal things here like we should be able to, not blaming you directly for that. i enjoy communicatin' will all the folks here and won't remove the + next to your name

I fail to see where the "spoiled" fits into that. I do display a certain childish exuberance at times yes.
Now, as it pertains to your complaint of "we don't share personal things here like we should be able to", as I recall, this has been the case since at least 2004 & it was much worse back then.
I certainly never had a problem with posting any of my info, and if a couple of people - 'cuz it wasn't more than 3 or 4 people, let's not blow this out of proportion - had their personal info abused & compromised by another 3 or 4 people, that doesn't mean that such a thing will extend to other members of this board or any other.
To tell you the truth, I fail to see what would be the point of abusing the private info of most of the people here & I would bet that would never happen.
There was much assholishness. And that leads to more assholishness. But anyone who witnessed the carnage & thought "holy shit, that might happen to me", I will ask why? Why should or would it happen to you? What have you done or will do that will cause people to react in such a way? Are you planning on pissing people off? If that's the case, it's only natural they retaliate. If that's not the case, who would give a fuck about your info & why?
Things need to be put into perspective, that's all. That said, it has never been smart divulging all your personal life to a crowd, strangers or otherwise. Even before the internet. If I don't post my home address right now, I can guarantee you it's not because of any one of the usuals here.
Obviously, I'm more pumped at the possibility of getting my hands on the Dave/John 5 collaboration, but if Dave *happens* to release a new studio album with VH, I'd buy it just because.
I'm more pissed that DAVE is sitting on unreleased stuff, not only this John 5 album, but other stuff, like his cover songs from the BBQ video & other assorted stuff than I am at Eddie & his alleged treasure trove.
I didn't get the live album because that's just the songs I already have, but performed worse.
There's no chance Dave will ever come here, but if he did, it would be with Van Halen... I can't see Dave solo pulling a crowd of 50 here.
This is my stance on all things Dave & Van Halen. Gee, I wonder why I'm not ecstatic at all.
