Why do you guys always gloss over that fact ??

My memory may not be that great about this, but didn't they eventually just drop Chinatown out of the setlist altogether? I thought it got treated like the headset microphone. They tried it, it proved to be a poor choice, and it was dropped.

If "illness" was the only reason for the problems then why wasn't it put back in when he was healthy?

They did Chinatown in New Orleans and it was one of the strongest shows of the tour by far...

What they'll probably play is something very close to the set list of the last concerts, with few changes.

I wouldn't mind at all if China Town was taken out. As well as Jump.

Me Wise Magic, Stay Frosty and Drop Dead Legs are the best ideas, but very unlikely unfortunately, safe for DDL maybe.

I'd like them to keep I'm the One, if only Dave could sing it like he did in 2007/08.

Instead of And the Cradle will rock, which sounds odd with the piped in stuff, maybe they could play In a Simple Rhyme.

Much to my regret I'm afraid they won't ever do Stay Frosty on stage.

Agreed. Biggest problem with that one is the tongue twister intro. Too many woids!!

This is Van Halen 2015. Anything that makes one go "WTF" is in keeping with there mode of operation now and anything, no matter how trivial, which can offer a bit of surprise is welcomed as they have a tendency to go into a predictable mode. If it where not for Dave rambling off on various tangents and tones, it would be completely predictable... and their best stage prop for this tour should rely on the tried and true, midgets and strippers on stage lol

Completely agree. That's why Ed, Wolf & Al should come up with an instrumental that could feature them doing some trade off flashiness.

I recall Vai's solo on the Skyscraper tour being a full band instrumental. That's the way to go.
