Also take off ERUPTION from any further set list.....
So fucking sick of it..... learn to do a new solo already it's been 40 years of this one stupid solo....
Can't you invent a new one by now?
Here here , ed showed he still had chops on ADKOT enough of the same solo for fucks sake
fuck your fucking framing
Do honeybabywhatsitcalled minus the vocals
Fuck...I know it's Hagar era, but why not put a new arrangement on "Baluchitherium" and spotlight the "three twins" for the solo?
(You may commence slamming me now, but I'm desperate for something different)
Or maybe it was two burritos.
Awwww fuck it. And fuck the burritos
I'd be down for something like that. It's Ed's solo...why not acknowledge that he has made other music without Roth that can be performed without Hagar's shitty lyrics?
But if they want to remain true to the CVH-era, then lay down some "Sunday Afternoon In The Park", mixed in with some embellishment on "Tank" and all the rest?
Or honeybassplayerwhatshecalled
But then again, this is (another) "Greatest Hits" tour, so they won't go outside the box and risk offending the casual fans they pick up from appearing on "Ellen."
I think for pure comic value, Dave needs to go out there and attempt Eddie's age old solo routine and then Edward needs to do "Ice Cream Man"... as long as he does not get confused and starts singing "How Many Say I" lol
I got lost in the...

Is #6 the rare Goin' Crazy reprise?
Even worse than the Eruption solo by Eddie Van Halen.
Any guitarist for Dave solo doing it in the set.....
It's like the fans are gettin' some cheap generic version of the version they don't even wanna hear....
Would not mine seeing DTNA, I'll Wait, China Town, Trouble w Never, and Pretty Woman take a rest this tour.
Hope HAIL stays for me was a highlight last tour. DOA, Sinner's Swing, Drop Dead Legs, As Is, and Stay Frosty instead of ICM would be great.
I'd really love to see them break out a Simple Rhyme
I don't think Me Wise Magic would work without having MA, the background vocal is just too high and prominent.
Dave hates that song anyway.
Don't spoil my mojo, mister....

Tried to be conservative, but unfortunately had to make some tough calls. I've seen Romeo Delight and Little Guitars live, so I gave the honors to In A Simple Rhyme (no Mikey, though) and Dirty Movies.

Who are these Homos who want to mix in some Haggis to impove the 2015 tour......where the fuck am I......?
You might as well invite him onstage to sing some schlocky lyric while dave sits on the drum riser penciling down his phone number for the milf that may not last thru the weekend who is blateantly... trying to look around hagar,,lol,,, then you will really wonder wtf was the ticket price.
Greatest hits 2015....well then better bring MA onstage too and call it The Sam and Dave tour with some half assed back up band..lol...
uggg
2015 once smoke 2 smoke ...poke
clara the tiny giraffe make fur curve
Though like most fans of classic Van Halen, I can think of some songs I would rather hear than "I'll Wait" and "Pretty Woman"... but Dave usually sound pretty damn good singing them, and the heavier sound of the guitar riff on "I'll Wait" is actually pretty cool to hear and hope it plays above the sound of the synths on the live recording

And, quite frankly, Dave SHOULD want to perform "Me Wise Magic" and or "Can't Get This Stuff No More" because they're more suited to his current vocal range.
As for the backing vocals on MWM, Wolf can pick that up...or they can pipe it in like they did in '07/'08
I dig it Von...and not disputing any of that. I just didn't want to get into any revisionist history about whose hit "Jump" was, or Dave's true stance on that particular song.
You're 100% right. He will ALWAYS perform it. But not because he WANTS to...but because he HAS to.
Personally, I'd trade front row seats at a live performance of "Jump" for crappy seats at a live performance of MWM, CGTSNM, or virtually any of the other songs we haven't been treated to on the last two tours.
But this is where we get into the whole "diehards" vs. "casual fans" debate, and we here at the Army are all pretty much "diehards"...almost to a fault.
I did not hate Jump when it came out. I thought it was cool because it got one of my favorite bands on the radio constantly and stuck them at number one on the charts for a while but it is simply not a classic Van Halen song because a classic holds up. After one week of hearing it played nonstop on the radio, it got boring real quick like most pop driven songs. Now, it is just a sound filler and it is the one Van Halen song I do not care to ever hear again and yet it is their encore. I guess, what it accomplished forces them to play the dang thing but maybe at least change it up... maybe rewrite that fucker where the synths could be taken out of the song and basically do what Van Halen does best with a cover tune, cover Jump and make it sound harder and make Jump sound like a Van Halen song finally lol
Jump is the perfect song that goes as a perfect backing trac for that video they did,... it is almost as if the song loses something without that awesome video it is like a pairing that needs to be, in order to dig the song correctly.
It may be one of the best song vid combos ever...so full of what we all were about way back then...yup.
