The first shock I had backstage was yeah it is a party sometimes but PEOPLE ARE WORKING!!! hit me right between the eyes...however,, under the stage or the after party at the hotel seemed to be how people visualize backstage, it is people getting their jobs done for the most part.

How come the band won't talk to me well I don't know maybe because they have to go to work soon and need a shower and a bit of chow and to line up their business plan for the day.

You can get some cool swag and a pic or two if you are lucky I guess.

It's amazing how I'm looking at Stubhub and these other ticket sites, they're selling tickets before they go on sale for major money. They haven't posted any meet and greet packages as of yet.

If I wanted drinks with other fans, I'd just hang out in the parking lot before the show. Or during the show.

Although I wish it was like the clip of that Texas Jam 78' show, in which people brought their own beer, weed and any other drug they could sneak into the stadium.

$200 or less is my limit since I've got a good job. I'm making lots of money. I look good...eh that's a stretch, but I'm funny and wield a decent sized cock. LOL

Seems like all these outdoor venues this time around will showcase VH and DLR much better and will attract a diff crowd than was at the closed confined arenas perhaps less of a chance of the yuppy covered and safe crowd ROKERS by casual fan suburban fans,, and a more outdoors type of fan.

This is a good idea and attracts a different section of society and removes what was at the last show tours.

The lower the tickets prices, the rowdier the crowd gets. Which is a good thing.

    Not really a new idea.

Dave has played Blossom solo. I've seen him every time he's played there. The crowd was no different, and looking back from the pavilion all you see is faces and arms all the way up the hill.

Now that pavilion seats are over $100, it may be a different crowd. You know, the kind that leaves the house at 7 for an 8 pm show and complain that they miss most of the show because they were sitting in traffic.

    Good Post.

Seating I have checked is still Vh'ish way up front 1400$ so yeah the richy rich will be there to but Outdoors seems to invigorate people and bands also perhaps more that a roofed assembly of people. I am not that spendy anymore less money to burn at this point in my existence.

$57.00 for lawn seats right now....at the cricket wireless in Bonner Springs just outside KC city limits...not as glam as the downtown arena with all it's after show bar scene.

I will be in the lawn area closer to the booze and real close to the bathrooms as a result of the closeness to the booze..lol.

    Roth On!

Well usually with a Van Halen show it's not so much an issue because they have an unwatchable support act so you go somewhere else.

If you are there all day though fuck that.

How annoying is it when you are standing there after paying $2000 for tickets clutching your specially designed Van Halen bandana and lithograph waiting for the bar to open so you can make yourself a victim of a group rape.

People buy these things, the cost must somehow reflect what people are willing to pay and I guess they must be the kind of people that come to sites like this but it all seems completely insane to me.

It turns out these were the same town they cancelled on the later part of the last tour, and yes I will see the opening act. I dig Kenny Wayne Shepherd's music and didn't get to see his band until now.

I'll take a wait and see approach about the whole thing. The same goes with the albums being released.

For those prices I should at least get a BJ from one of Dave's groupie rejects.

Meet and greet - exclusiive info (spoiler alert)

    There won't be any.

    Just stop....

    Stop.

There will be no meet and greets.

Buy your $400 pit tickets and hope one of the guys stands in frame long enough to get a shot. Preferably not Wolf.

    Again...

    Just stop it.

    My prediction...

VIP ticket package...limited edition t-shirt designed by Kody Van Halen himself.

    Tin of custom EVH picks.

8x10 autographed band photo...from 2012...signed by the PR company's admin assistant.

Plus, a code for 20% offf in the VH store!

Fucking please. We did this once already....

Looking to get VIP for Seattle show. With Stub Hub and other broker ticket sites...half the seats to all shows will be sold out before tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday April 4th.

I got on Ticketmaster today and it looked like one could order tickets for some of the shows already. Anyone else notice that?

I've been trying to find presale codes too...I was able to find one for Reno..it's "Jump"....maybe that'll work for others?! I'm definitely gonna do one front row seat..I know it's crazy, but I hafta see them front row at least once before I die (or they die)...Hubby got me front row seats for NJ in 2012 for Mother's Day and they cancelled the show. Need to go. Trying to work out any other connections I have for descent seats at other shows we attend. I love this band more than anything but they are such dicks to those who love them. Other bands give out codes to fan club members or FB followers..and do meet and greets.

I don't know what the logic was for pre-sales. Seems dumb to only have a few.

Been front row for the Diamond Dave tour...third or fourth row at Casino Rama...about 15 feet away from the stage at the House Of Blues...12th row in Montreal, '07...hell, even back at the EEAS show Dave popped up at the mixing board in the middle of our row.

I don't care much about VIP or front row any more. Glad I got it out of my system before the prices skyrocketed.

Saw Dave solo front row twice in 2006...so amazing...got to hold his hand and touch his legs, etc. Definitely quite the thrill! I was 4th row for VH at MSG and that just blew me away...since these rumors have been swirling for awhile we've had our VH fund building..we'll see what I can get.

The package you buy determines how many drink tickets you get(and whether beer or liquor) Did the VIP last two tours, got to meet Edward and was handed a pick from him in Charlotte. Some dude was screaming during sound check and I sat him down, evidently Ed appreciated it. I was walking out with the rest when they called me back for my pick and hand shake. But this time its' full on concert madness. Stub Hubbed a set of three VIP box seats for the price of one front row. Already lining up proper supplies! Love Charlotte and VH together, great party with great people.
