Yeah, they were huge here. Damn record sold like crack. Had to take my girlfriend to two shows and there was more poon at the shows than you can imagine.

And these guys are tiny. I mean little bitty short dudes that weighed maybe 120 pounds. And whichever one it was that played the bass, he'd flip it over and on the back was painted Show Us Your Tits! And there's all these young teenage girls there and even I was like "Hey now, that ain't right..."

Can not wait for the tell-all appearance on Oprah, along with the announcement of a cookbook/biography.

Well they better let their hair grow back out or they're gonna be in for a rough time!

              So much worse now though.

I was at a Steel Panther gig a couple of years ago and they were doing the get girls on stage and encourage that. One was a bit overweight and borderline 17/18.

It was a bit sad walking past her at the end of the night seeing her wailing in tears being comforted by friends as she realized what she had done. It was in a city and there were 2000 people there but I think she had just remembered about YouTube...

I estimate your half plus seven was around 17 at that point.

                For the record.

The internet is a game changer here whereby what would have ended up just being a funny drinking story 15 years ago these days could be a life ruining event nowadays.

This will all settle down once people get used to it but for people with teenage kids just now they need to try and help avoid shit because I don't think schools or anyone else is fully teaching the possible consequences.

I agree, and that's not even fully putting things in perspective like the rampant cyberbullying that happens afterwards. Why do you think that a lot of kids commit suicide when it comes to these things? Having an embarrassing video of you on the internet with a million and one douchebags writing shit like "lol kill yourself" and on Facebook and Twitter have all your classmates call you a whore and a slut and make disgusting rumors up about you....God...

I don't know about it settling down... it's evolving at a rapid pace. With the growth of "the Internet of Things" (IoT) where our cars, appliances, televisions, etc become connected there's new frontiers of trouble and privacy concerns just waiting to be exploited and misused. So much so... that today's social media and smart phones with cameras and video will seem like quaint little nuisances in no time...

Hard to look to schools teaching any common sense to kids in this area... not many of the adults running schools have much of a clue themselves as evidenced by the idiots getting in trouble, losing jobs and getting locked up for their shenanigans. For parents... stay informed and educated about the dangers to your kids... don't look to the world to raise and educate them!!

For heavens sake... don't allow them to listen to the Nelson Brothers or Sammy Hagar...

My point is Ed doesn't seem to whip out the Frankenstein Fender,... perhaps, it is too valuable, but I would like to see Ed play this guitar live as if he was strumming away at the original one.

                              any help..?
He played it live in 1980. It's a Charvel "Star" body with a Danelectro neck. It wasn't a great sounding guitar. Looked kind of cool in the day. I think the best sounding guitar Ed played was his 5150 Kramer. He has some great live tone with that through whatever Marshalls he was blazing through.

Mr. Edward playing his star thingy. I remember the guitar sounding kind of flat when I saw him play it in 1980. Ed was the mysterious mad scientist slapping stuff together and getting sounds nobody else could. People still don't sound like him. Some get close but nobody nails Ed completely. It's impossible.

How can the education system teach something it doesn't have? Technology is nothing but a multiplier for good or bad. The internet had the capability to be a wonderful educational tool but people mostly use it for gossip, small talk, fighting, porn, and low IQ type entertainment. It makes mail order shopping a hell of a lot easier but the internet and smart phones are becoming monitoring devices. As long as it's not obvious people won't care but it's creepy. I just read an article where the internet was a huge disappointment. I tend to agree. Even Steve Wozniak is down on where it's all heading and to be frank, I think many of us could go back to what life was without it.
