Lets take a closer look at Edwin Hubble's original data set for determining that the Universe was in fact expanding (based upon the red shifts of distant galaxies).
Its clear that there is a fair degree of scatter of the data points that Hubble originally generated. The important thing is that there is a significant statistical trend which shows an increase in galactic receding velocity as distance increases.
Since 1929, these data points have been revised many times, with more accurate equipment and techniques but the linear correlation has remained firm for this range of small galactic distances.
Recent calculations for very distant galactic red shifts has shown that the Universal Expansion rate is in fact accelerating (hence the proposition of the existence of Dark Energy a force which acts in the opposite direction of the gravitational force).
Surely nobody in here is suggesting that the accuracy and range of data in scientific measurements should NEVER be refined or adjusted?
Within 2 years of Hubble's original data, new measurements carried out by Humason improved the accuracy of Hubble's constant and supported the theory of an Expanding Universe.

It's really really difficult to overcome a media(establishment) consensus which is against any change in any direction because they are doing well as things are.
That said in the Scottish referendum for independence over time though with TV and 17 out of the 18 newspapers against it still got pretty close. I think that's because times are changing, people have different media sources and this is obviously upsetting to the media. I heard recently that White Americans over 35 make up about only 18% of the electorate. It's a decent point but ignores lower voting rates among other ethnicity and that women historically are more conservative than men. I guess it's still a vaguely optimistic thought though and look at gay marriage. Arnold Actor vetoed it 10 years ago in liberal California and even Hilary's win at all costs morality machine decided a year or two ago it was no longer evil and against the law of the invisible sky daddy.The downside is that it allows Trump to say that since the media is unreliable then he is unaccountable and can just make shit up all the time.

Arnie vetoed a bill declaring same sex marriages legal that was passed by the state assembly because the legal residents of California had already voted against it. Then some liberal judge ruled that was uconstitutional. Then the legal residents of the state of California voted to ban same sex marriages but some liberal judge ruled that was unconstitutional. 4 vote difference and an equal 50/50 split of delegates.
Martin O'Malley got 8 votes, or 1%. Since he's dropped out of the race, his people need to go somewhere. I'm guessing they would go to Bernie, because if they liked Hillary, they would have been with her in the first place.
