Is it July 5th yet? I got my tickets; and after all the new, engaging, and wonderful conversation we need something new to talk about... desperately.

Here ya go... talk about VH opening the CMT Country Music Awards tomorrow night...
http://www.classichitsandoldies.com/...anging-appeal/Speaking with ABC Radio after the band’s appearance, frontman David Lee Roth revealed that Van Halen also has been tapped to open another awards ceremony, the CMT Music Awards, which the CMT network will air live from Nashville on June 10.
You can thank me later...

They could always play the bluegrass version of "Jump". Eddie can play the solo on banjo.

Who knows... other than that article/interview there's no mention of VH and CMT anywhere else on the planet. Maybe it's one of those "other dimension" things like the touring Europe thing Dave spouted off about a couple years ago.
I thought this was hilarious...
"passionate approach"..? Yeah man, fucking around the house doing nothing for 3 years with a handful of rehearsals 2 weeks before the show!! That gets country, pop and rap fans all excited to see the Mighty Van Halen... :rolleyesWhile a show that celebrates the top artists in country music may seem like an odd forum for the hard-rocking Van Halen, Roth said he believed that his band’s passionate approach to rehearsing and creating music has made it a group that appeals to fans of various musical genres.
I really hope they don't play the country show....
If they thought the crowd at the Billboard awards were lame, the Hee Haw crowd won't be any better....

If they do show up, I wonder if they would invite Brad Paisley up to jam on "Hot For Teacher?"
Right. And if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon.
By the way, July 5th is the start of Shark Week on Discovery Channel. I saw an ad for the other day, Billy Idol was in it.

I hope not I'm meant to be seeing him in a few days...
Discovery are still doing Shark Week?
Dozens of documentaries which for the first 55 minutes pretend sharks are dangerous and for the last 2 minutes admit that they aren't.
Strip out the coming next, the commercial breaks, the summaries of what has been said before the break, the vacuous paragraph of sub Oscar presenter speech shit at the start and end and you could fit the script of the average Discovery documentary on half a sheet of paper...

I think the 20 or so deaths a year in the US are from farming cows as opposed to torturing bulls for fun.
Thug Goats are more dangerous...
