I don't mind Gen Swine. It's no Feelgood, but then it ain't New Tattoo, either.
Skip the last song on Swine though. Makes How Many Say I sound like Mozart...

I'm not a big fan of some of those bands. Metallica's Black Album is about the only one I've heard in it's entirety. Totally agree with In Through The Out Door being a klinker. Rush has way too many albums to pick out one to hate but I thought they went in the wrong direction with Grace Under Pressure. I never bothered listening to VHIII so I can't really say it's their worst. #3 was hard to argue with. There wasn't anything there.
I love Asylum, Crazy Nights and Hot In The Shade too. See, I'm exactly the kind of fan Kiss love. I have a pretty scary amount of useless shit with a Kiss logo or the faces on it. I have posters, pillows, blankets, jammies, glasses, coasters, playing cards, dolls, badges, fridge magnets ,perfume, I could go on.
It must have taken them a whole morning to write the stuff the Bon Jovi guy didn't do for them...
"Bang Bang You"
My love is like a cannonball,
I'm takin' aim and you're gonna fall
Don't hide or try to get away,
you know the rules and you're gonna play
[Chorus:]
And we go one, two, three, four,
when midnight comes, I'll be at your door
Five, six, seven, eight, oh, oh, I just can't wait
I'm gonna bang, bang you -
I'll shoot you down with my love gun, baby
Bang, bang you - I got you in the heart,
you're gonna be mine, yeah
Hands up, reach for the sky,
I'll treat you good, 'cause I'm a bad guy
If love's a crime I've got a hundred schemes
I'll be the villain in your book of dreams
[chorus]
(You know what I'm talking about. Ooh, come on!)
(Listen) - [chorus]
Bang, bang you, I'll shoot you down with my love gun, baby
Bang, bang you, I got you in the heart,
you're gonna be mine, yeah
[repeats out]
Really? To me, those three albums just felt like the band was churning out that material without any particular passion or purpose. The tunes were just sort of...generic, and agreed with others that the band were definitely hopping on the Bon Jovi template to a degree by the time Crazy Nights rolled around.
Shit, I loved KISS back in the day. Even on comparatively weaker records like Unmasked, there was good stuff to be found. With that Asylum/Crazy Nights/Hot In The Shade trio of records, the group sounded sort of neutered. Like, you could definitely tell Paul had taken over the creative direction of the group.
But I would have to agree that KISS do try to give their fans what they want in terms of making classic kiss material available.
When I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was The Elder. As a fan from the early days, that was by far the biggest disappointment for me. And everyone I knew who was a fan, hated it. Now, decades later a lot of people claim it's their favorite. I still don't hear it...sorry.
Stay Frosty, muthas!
There are decent tunes on In Through the Out Door, but I just don't care for the keyboard centric nature of the album. Jimmy's guitar is basically a complimentary instrument as opposed to the driving force. I wouldn't say I hate this album, but it ranks toward the bottom of the Led albums for me.
Wearing and Tearing was recorded during that period and showed that they still had guitar-based fight left in them, so I wish there could have been more songs like that on the album, including that song!
But thats a cool thing db , kiss are great to their fans like them or not they put loads out their for the fans.
Vh ....... Not so much.
fuck your fucking framing
Yeah it's not charity or do you have to buy it , I just wish van halen would be more ....
Actually I suppose I could always buy the stripy shit I always complain about
Laugh if you want, but that song kicks ass
Do you even like 'Evbody got a weason to wiv'?
Back on topic, sort of. That was the first time I ever watched that Elder video. That's not Ace in Ace's make-up, is it? Something just didn't look right. Oh, and thank God Paul played lead on that one. Pfft.

I have really tried to like KISS , I even went to one of their concerts...at the end of the 90s...they suck! Sorry.
Now who`s that babe with the fab-u-lous shad-ow?
a blacktor?
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!

The only dud on Crazy Nights is No No No. Apart from that, I love that album.
The only KI$$ albums I don't like ("hate" is too big a word) are Gene's 1978 LP, Psycho Circus, Sonic Boom and Monster. Few good tunes here and there, but not enough to make a 12 song compilation, in my opinion.
Other than that, I like all KI$$ albums. Yes, even Peter's 1978 one!
Oh, and Boomerang and Heaven's on Fire are utter shite. Still my opinion.
As a fan of Sammy Hagar I have hated all of his albums. I would like Bon Jovi and Muse to be included in this.
I cant get away with muse I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I cant see why they are popular.
Bon Jovi no benefit involved
I hear ya vandy.
Sometimes, a tune will strike your ear, and you have an option of saying "What the fuck is this shit"? or "Gee, that is interestingly odd."
Frank Zappa used to do that for me: he would throw music in your face that deliberately challenged his audience in an intelligent, dignified manner.
These boneheads? They are like Phil Collins during the 1980s=throwing all sorts of shit at the wall hoping something sticks.
I had no idea that Bon Jovi song even had a video. The cheese factor must have been even too much for eMpTyV at the time, because I don't remember seeing it even once. Though they certainly played his other videos to death.

Yep. Growing up where it's almost illegal to slag that band, I have to say, they never did it for me. Oddly enough, as targeted towards pop rock as the first album was, I consider that one to be the most original sounding material they'd ever put out. Everything that followed was just cheez whiz that was ultra derivative of the "hair metal" movement that happened in the wake of Van Halen's success. Doc McGee was no dummy. He had his boys riding the crest of that wave. The only other time I thought Jon sounded somewhat interesting was when he put out a solo album. The song Midnight In Chelsea wasn't awful.
I get that a lot of Zeppelin fans hated In Through the Out Door, but I always loved it. From the first cool notes of In The Evening. I thought All My Love was lovely. I really dig all the crazy changes in Carouselambra. The awesome fuzztone guitar solo on Fool in the Rain.....I still play it often.
Have always enjoyed I'm Gonna Crawl.
Clearly not the most inspired or energetic of Zeppelin's outright blues tributes (yeah, the song is credited to Jones/Page/Plant, but to me it's basically an homage to a slow, standard/stock blues progression that had been around for decades already - only the bizarre synthesized intro muzak and lyrics contain anything approaching originality), but I like it just the same.
I actually like parts of St. Anger. I have to be in the mood for it, but it's not the write-off people dismiss it as.....

In Through the Out Door is Zep's second best album!
How can anyone listen to Presence?
The rest of the albums i know about, but have never heard.
