Van Halen is coming to Rock Band 4

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/08/...paign=Blogroll

Van Halen Finally Comes to Rock Band
    "Panama!

Van Halen is coming to Rock Band 4. Fans will be able to play along to the band’s number one hit Panama when Rock Band 4 launches on October 6, 2015. That’s not all, mind. If Panama doesn’t quench your thirst, you’ll also be able to pick up more tracks from Van Halen via the Rock Band Music Store post-launch.

“For years we’ve wanted to bring Van Halen’s music to Rock Band,” says Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak. “Not only are the songs incredible in their own right, but they’re amazingly fun to play and perform, whether you’re on guitar, bass, drums, or vocals.”

Van Halen joins the ever-growing list of songs coming to Rock Band 4, including the likes of Fall Out Boy, Disturbed, System of a Down, and Heart. If you’re a Sony fan, it was recently revealed that PlayStation Plus members who pre-order via the PSN will receive 10 bonus DLC tracks for Rock Band 4 upon release."

I still play the VH Guitar Hero game every now and then. Usually I wind up screaming drunkenly at Wolfie to get off the stage so it's always a fun time.

Wolf in Ed's 84 outfit is definitely weird.. I prefer the game play on rock band over guitar hero.. I hope they get ADKOT on there..

I would rather play real guitar poorly over being good at Guitar Hero. But hey, if it gets kids into the music, I guess that's okay.

I saw a stand up comedian bagging on people who play Guitar Hero. He called them losers and made some crack about how they could have learned how to play a real guitar in the time it took them to learn how to play one on Guitar Hero.

It's a game though, not a substitute for playing the instrument. The comedian's bit is invalid. I remember, in my pre-Atari 2600 youth, there was a game called Simon-sez. It was about the size of a frisbee, but fatter, and you had to press one of the four colored buttons when it lit up. A lot of these video games today are just an updated format of that. It's genius that someone thought to put it to music rather than beeps and buzzes.

I don't know if they went that insulting, but what they did surely made little sense either...

I can't even play that Guitar Hero crap... The guitar player part of my brain can't make the leap to the button pushing bullshit and my hand wants wander to the correct neck position if I were playing the real tune...

I could never master the real thing or Guitar Hero. Never learned to type either. Can't even dribble a basketball with my left hand. Don't have much feeling in the fingers of my left hand after getting 130 stitches after a construction accident.

Harmonix has announced that "The Van Halen Hits Pack 01" is coming to Rock Band 4 tomorrow, November 24.

PlayStation 4 users in Europe will have to wait an extra couple of days until November 26. The DLC costs $10 for all of the tracks, or you can purchase individual songs for $2 each.

The songs include "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "Hot For Teacher," "And The Cradle Will Rock...," "Dance The Night Away," "Runnin' With The Devil," and "Unchained."
