and 90's
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
You think I don't know that?
All I'm saying is, put as much effort into the music, as you do the visual.
Do you want to see the 1979 Penthouse Pet laying around with her snatch hanging out, in 2015? She could probably pull it off as well as Dave is pulling off his faggy "rock star" act.

Think Dave plays the role of dorothy , Von is gonna love it. The tour has dwarves for munchkins and a full cast for the dance numbers.
fuck your fucking framing
There is no place like homo , there is no place like homo
Now that the VH tour is over, Dave should take a page from the Keith Richards playbook and put that damned album out already. And just like Keef already announced that the Stones are headed back to the studio, Dave can do some press saying he's ready to make another Van Halen album whenever the sisters are ready to work.
That's my take. I mean why would he want too sound like shit on some songs if he could sing them good. On all of them if you ask some people. I won't go that far. I think this was a good tour for them. The energy in the performances were there. I mean what more do you want from 3 old guy's ?? I guess you could say retire. And that should happen at some point. I always thought an older Dave led VH might be silly. Maybe his voice going is the first sign of that ?? I guess it is. I don't know ? Do another album and tour and go away for good ?? We all know that will take another 3 years too get done. Put's them in their mid 60's. Do that and hang it up. It's fine with me. I guess time will tell. These guy's might all do something on a stage every few years til they die. Just don't think it will be in the Van Halen form in 10 years. Not the one we all love anyways. Don't think it will be Van Hagar either. His voice is worse than Dave's these day's.
With much respect, Von - you may be right about this having been the last tour.....or not? JHale and I both discussed the fact of being at the finale Sunday night and how important it was....just in case this was the last (?)
I did read about the EVH comment told to Billboard about scolding Dave to act more like a 60 yr. old - but being around here for so many summers, you know as well as I, that we've gotten immune to hearing the gripe from the brothers. T
The bros know as well as us.... they (Dave & Ed) realize they need each other."
Van Halen would not be =VH= without the chemistry of these two geniuses.
About Greg Renoff's book? He's doing a local book signing I will attend on Friday and I'll report back. I can't imagine this guy knows more than what has been discussed historically here at RA... DLR has always been pretty candid with us.
?? more to be revealed...
"Meet us in the Future.....NOT the Pasture".......DLR, August '07, VH Press Conference - Tour '07-'08
Well, this makes it all the more intriguing. Terry Kilgore may be in attendance. Looking forward... and hearing some opinions/feedback...
JHale told me he's going to be there.
cool, would be great to meet finally
Saw the show in Houston, and Dave was damn good. He is not 1981 sparkle like a diamond, but he was more than sufficient to not only do another LP but tour with that bitch!
I got lost in the...
The details of the early days is so cool, and so thorough. Fucking great book. Unless the Van Halen's themselves write a book, you not going to get a better snapshot of the beginnings of the baddest motherfucking American rock band on the planet. Speaking of snapshots, Greg has some very cool photo's in this book.
Wow.... the skeptic that I am ... I'm actually getting a bit excited to attend with such endorsements by RA.
The book is from the flies on the wall from as way back as 1967. Their stories are absolutely fantastic. This book puts you there, believe me. I never doubted for a second that it would.
Something to be said of that little thing called "practice"... especially when it involves the human body. Great athletes do it... great musicians as well... maybe it's time for great entertainers... ya think?
What's sad is the whole concept of practice makes perfect is ingrained in Dave's passion for his martial arts crap... just needs to transfer that energy to honing his voice instead of some imaginary fight he'll never be in. How many dedicated and proficient martial art's experts pay a fat-assed fucking body guard to escort them their entire adult life..?
"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”
Really famous ones like Dave? Probably quite a few. That fat assed bodyguard is probably carrying a firearm just in case some nut ball decides to try to put a couple bullet holes in his client like Mark David Chapman did to John Lennon. Real bad guys attack you when you're not looking and don't mind ganging up on you whether they need to or not. Martial artists are only invincable in movies.
Seriously..? You think DLR's motivation towards martial arts was to hone his stage antics..?
First off... most of the stage moves Dave has used over the years is far more closely aligned with common gymnastics and fucking cheer-leading than any tough guy martial arts. Secondly... at the young age when Dave started into martial arts majority of kids are just pussies who couldn't fight in the streets and defend themselves from bullies. So their rich parents paid to have them trained... but most remained social outcasts and still got their asses kicked...
Thankfully twona isn't too good at math... If he was y'all would think I'm in my 90's... Punks!!
