I dunno. I've always felt ELO was just Jeff Lynne and some sidemen.

Those two tracks are kind of meh. They remind me a lot more of Lynne's work with George Harrison than original ELO.

Jeff Lynne always wanted to BE a Beatle, so claiming his "band" (using the term loosely) was better than the Beatles is a bit ridiculous.

Of course when Lynne actually had an opportunity to work with the actual Beatles, the results weren't all that great either. Meaning those two "new" songs on the Anthology albums, which sounded more like "Travelling Willburys with a canned John Lennon vocal"

The actual Willbury records were better, but that's because George Harrison, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty were there to keep Lynne from completely dominating the project.
