Former drug dealer Jay Z to headline "get out the vote" concert for Hilary Clinton

But Trump supporters are deplorable, and Trump says mean things about women. Like Jay Z doesn't.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Rapper Jay-Z will perform at a get-out-the-vote concert in Cleveland for Hillary Clinton before Election Day, a Clinton aide said Monday.

The campaign confirmed that the event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 4. But additional details, including exact time and location, are yet to be announced.

More information on how to obtain free tickets, which will be distributed outside the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and at Clinton campaign offices, can be found here.

BuzzFeed first reported that the concert was planned. Democrats see it as a huge opportunity to turn out black voters before Election Day.

Jay-Z often campaigns for Democrats. Four years ago, he and Bruce Springsteen co-headlined a Columbus concert with President Barack Obama the night before Election Day. More than 15,000 turned out for that event at Nationwide Arena.

The event was memorable, in part, for Jay-Z's edited version of his hit "99 Problems," which he used to take a swipe at that year's GOP nominee for president, Mitt Romney. "I got 99 problems, but Mitt ain't one," Jay-Z rapped that night, substituting Romney's first name for a profane term for women.

Clinton faces Republican nominee Donald Trump. Polls in Ohio show a close race.

The Clinton campaign has relied heavily on celebrity surrogates this year. Actors ranging from Jeff Goldblum to the cast of "The West Wing" have crisscrossed the Buckeye State in recent weeks. The National, a rock band with Cincinnati roots, will perform a similar get-out-the-vote concert Nov. 2 in the city of its birth.

Cuyahoga County's Board of Elections is a few doors down from the local ABC affiliate. Two of their morning show crew went to stand in line for Jay Z tickets, posted about it on Facebook, and later got fired. Ooops!

'Good Morning Cleveland' anchors Jackie Fernandez, Somara Theodore let go after social media posts

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- WEWS Channel 5 "Good Morning Cleveland" anchor Jackie Fernandez and meteorologist Somara Theodore are no longer with the station.

"We don't discuss internal employee matters," news director Jeff Harris said in a statement. "However, News 5 holds all of its journalists to the highest ethical standards."

Harris would not speak directly to the reason why Fernandez and Theodore were let go, but FTVLive, a TV news industry site, reported it was because the two waited in line for tickets to Jay Z's upcoming Cleveland concert for Hillary Clinton on company time last week and then posted about it on social media.

"It is important to the reputation of our station and to Scripps, our parent company, that our news coverage is fair and unbiased," Harris said. "Those crucial qualities have been emphasized repeatedly during this contentious election season.

"We remind our journalists frequently to avoid even the appearance of support for any sides of this election. It is imperative that we maintain objectivity in the work we do to serve our communities in NE Ohio."

Harris said the station is still figuring out staffing for the morning show going forward.

Fernandez and Theodore both arrived in Cleveland last summer. They were introduced as part of News 5's "fresh and hip news team" in splashy promos shot in the Flats.

Fernandez was named as one of Cleveland Magazine's Most Interesting People of 2016 and profiled by The Plain Dealer in July. Theodore was recently featured in Scene Magazine's People issue.

And the poor people of Ohio rejoice. For once Cuyahoga's polluted river (of poor people) has something else to offer.
