Countries under the British Monarchy are called Commonwealth Nations. The monarch has fuck all to do with the running of the country...but to get rid of the monarch, we would have to totally revamp our parliamentary system and there are constitutional issues as well. Would be a pain in the ass, imo.

The only impact they have here is a huge bill for taxpayers any time they visit, and immigrants have to pledge allegiance to the queen when they become citizens. Meh.
