Roger Moore was the producer's first choice for James Bond after Sean Connery decided he'd had enough but he was busy doing The Saint. George Lazenby got the gig but they went with Connery again in the next movie. Then Moore got his chance. The reason his Bond was not as tough as the Connery Bond but a bit funnier is because he didn't want to emulate Connery (as Bond) or himself as The Saint.

I liked Lazenby as Bond. Hard to believe he only wanted to do one movie and I think he could have been great for at least three. Dalton could have been better if the movies had actually been better. I liked Brosnan as Bond a lot, since he'd done the Remington Steele gig and I liked that show. But those movies got more ridiculous as they progressed. But Moore was Bond when I was a kid and I think he was my favorite.

Goldeneye was excellent. And they should have had Tina do the next couple Bond songs like they did with Shirley Bassey.

And Bond's invisible car was gayer'n hell
