These fellow countrymen of yours were popular here. WMMS played them a lot.

The band never achieved acclaim in the United States the way it did in Great Britain, but it had a cult following in certain US cities, especially Cleveland, where the group first played at the Agora Ballroom in December 1974. Thanks to airplay from WMMS, songs like "Next" and "The Faith Healer" became very popular. Cleveland music critics observed that the Sensational Alex Harvey Band could headline in that city, while in other cities few people came to see them.

They opened for Slaughter which opened for another band I cannot remember right now because I am half lit. I wasn't impressed. I was impressed with the Slaughter show. I swear I think that was '89 or '90

I think they are maybe better on album than live, most of the original band are gone or dead now from what I hear but they wrote some great melodies back in the day...

Best to not worry too much about the visuals...

Grimes and I saw Enuff Z'nuff open for Mr. Big on their first tour. Chip and Donnie were on Howard Stern's show a few times.

Here's a good Temptations song that might not be that well known

I approve of Brutha Tuna's Soul Selection.

Now this may have been one of the first corporate bands, but at least they had talent & kicked some ass.

                        Not much ass, just some.

Back in the days of yore Newcastle had a rock nightclub called the Mayfair. There wasnt really a lot of them , lots of rock pubs but not big night clubs.
To get people in early they would have bands on first to get the night going. Thunder played it a number of times.
