I guess they scraped the bottom of the barrel with the re-worked Simmons demos on ADKOT, and the thought of actually having to come up with 40 minutes of new material from scratch these days is something they can't be bothered with...lazy fucks.

Ed's "10 albums worth of material in the can" probably equals several hundred hours of tapes recorded at 5150 over a 30 year span which mostly consist of Ed using his trans trem sustainer to make whammy bar wanking noises: probably something that would have been heralded as the Second Coming of Jimi Hendrix in 1985 but is mostly too yawn-worthy these days for Roth to even listen to, much less try and attach lyrics and sing over.

I've moved the fuck on, and have more hopes for a Diamond Dave solo album.

Fuck OBC and his "10 albums worth" of him and his stoopid brother jerkin off in his smelly old studio. He can keep all his scary good music to himself for all I care. You know why most of the tapes in the hallowed "vaults" are ruined? Cause Ed spilled beer all over most of them and there's a half inch of nicotine and tar all over the rest. Like I said - when the well runs dry it REALLY runs dry.
American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.

Yeah, I don't particularly care if Van Halen ever release another studio album.

I'm not really anxiously awaiting another Roth solo album, either, truth be told. Although for Dave perhaps studio work is the way to go, because his voice far as live work goes is basically shot. At least with studio work [Roth] can record it line by line (or vowel by vowel, if necessary) over a period of however long it takes go get takes that sound good. That being said, while from what I've read Roth still records, it's not as if any record companies/distributors are exactly biting their fingernails to the nub in hopes that they get the nod to put out the next David Lee Roth solo album which will go on to sell literally tens of thousands of copies.

EVH can easily go out and play with anyone he wants. But he won't.
