So, I shot the Kip Winger acoustic show last night. I had no intentions of going, but when I told Donnie P Kip was playing a mile from my house, he blew my phone up begging me to go. I told him I'd run up to the venue as I know the guy that owns it, and if he would let me shoot, i'd go.
I have to say, ole Kip put on one hell of a good acoustic show last night. He was super cool. Very engaging with the audience. Joked around a lot, and you could tell he just had a great time. I used to say this guy was the best bass player that never played the bass. In all the videos, he seemed to use it more as a prop, than actually playing it. Was I surprised at how well this dude played the 12 string acoustic! It sounded amazing. Oh, and his voice is not shot at all. The dude all around brought it last night. Believe it or not, I'd recommend anyone that enjoys a good live acoustic set, to go see him do this if you get the chance.
