Believe it or not, considering all the crazy shit you CAN get away with in Florida, one thing you CAN'T do is take a gun into a bar or a nightclub, so that's why none of those gays, oops, guys were armed. Alcohol and guns aren't a very good mixture so that seems like a reasonable policy. (and this is coming from somebody who threatened to kill some asshole with my friend's 44 magnum while fucked up on rum, so I know what I'm talking about)

So how did the self-hating murderer get in with a gun? He shot the off duty cop who was working as a bouncer at the door. Not to mention it would have been difficult to conceal an AR-15 anyway.

You aren't legally allowed to conceal carry in any bar/club in Michigan, that gets less than 50% of their revenue from food sales. Yeah, we realize alcohol and guns aren't the best combo either. However, I would imagine if you were to do a shakedown in most any venue in Michigan that gets most of their revenue from alcohol sales, you'd find guns. That could be or it could just be the fact that this is a poor state without the tax revenue it takes to pay for stuff like that. The shrimping industry is still taking a big hit from that massive oil spill in the gulf a few years ago and revenue from refining oil is way down due to the lower prices of gasoline we've had for the last few years. If we could get the federal government to quit wasting money on a list of things too long to mention and do a little more to take care of our own people they might be able to kick us down a little more cash to pay for disability and such.
