It's nasty because all you need is someone or more likely a Vietnamese or Russian bot to put a bit of code or dubious link into a post or signature and you get branded as unclean by Google.

Worse is that you don't always know if you have removed the problem because there is a delay while you wait for them to give you the all clear.

I'm 99.99% sure there was never anything that would have harmed anyone but whatever, that just makes me sound like a bar owner complaining about being served a notice over a dead rat in the back alley.
