House Democrats overwhelmingly decided to go with the past by keeping Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

The vote was 134 to 63 for second place finisher Rep. Tim Ryan.

Pelosi is 76.

The top three Democrats in leadership are 76 (Pelosi), 77 (Steny Hoyer) and 76 (Jim Clyburn). The average age of the Democratic party leadership is 76.

The top three Republican leaders, in contrast, are 46 (Paul Ryan), 51 (Kevin McCarthy) and 51 (Steve Scalise).

Well, the military are supposed to wear armor, drive tanks, and use assault weapons. Of course they should only be doing so in a war, declared by Congress, against a legitimate threat to the United States, but that's a whole other discussion.

None of this applies to a civilian police force, who rarely, if ever should have just cause to kill anybody. And on those rare occasions, one shot to the head or chest from a handgun should be sufficient, for a properly trained officer.

Typically you leave out the rest of the story here, Ford. Jesus knew what was in this guy's heart and that's why he told him to give up all his possessions.
