Apparently she was already done filming all her parts for Episode VIII, so they should still be able to proceed with that one as planned. But depending on what Leia's role was supposed to be in Episode IX.... it's not like they can drop a CGI 1977 version of her into THAT movie.*

As if this couldn't get any worse, now it seems that her mother, Debbie Reynolds had a stroke at home while planning Carrie's funeral. At least there were other family members there, and she got medical attention ASAP, but she's gotta be 90 something by now, so the family might end up with a double funeral
