Will The Democrats Extreme Anti Trump Position Come Back And Bite Them On The Ass?

Considering the fact Donald Trump won the popular vote in approximately 30 of the 50 states (straight answers to questions like this are hard to find nowadays) will all the extreme anti Trump actions by the Democratic party and Democrats in general have a negative or a positive result for that party? I was just reading how Elizabeth Warren cherishes her role as Trump's foil.In the past no matter who won the other party would claim they would work with the new president to get things done to benefit all Americans but this time the Democrats have adopted a let's fuck with Trump every chance we get attitude. Whatever Trump says oppose it. If Trump nominated Mother Teresa for some cabinet position they'd call her a whore. It's hard to say how much the Republican party will tolerate because they didn't want Trump to win either but considering they control both houses and Trump is a member of their party together they can do almost anything they feel like doing. If their constituents start pushing them to fight back and fuck with the Democrats every chance they get I don't think that will bode well for Democrats.

There are 2 scenarios.

One is Russia continues to influence Trump to break up NATO and then continues further West from the Ukraine back into Eastern Europe and beyond. That's why I was wondering about whether we need the US to have a nuclear deterrent v Russia.

The second scenario is Trump and Putin fall out with each other and then travel down a path to WWIII which given their personalities is possible. Trump has mental health issues and isn't getting any younger. Putin has been in power for a long time and people get worse on power like they get worse on coke.

I'm not over worried about ongoing Islamic terrorism because that kills hundreds not millions. You remain frightened of them because they have terrorised you.

Well, first of all, the premise that Democrats in Congress should, by default, go along with every single thing Trump proposes just because historically the opposing parties after elections have claimed (a specious claim in the case of Obama and his Republican opposition from 2008 to the present) they would work with the new President is a bit of a stretch.

Look, I have no doubt McConnell and his republican colleagues in 2009 had serious ideological differences with the things Obama and the Democratic party were proposing, and thus [McConnell/GOP Congressmen] honestly thought they were doing their 'patriotic duty' by engaging in perpetual obstruction and making their primary mission that of ensuring Obama would be a one-term president. Isn't it possible Democrats in Congress honestly feel the same way? Or is it their duty just to rubber-stamp every Cabinet appointee without so much as a sideways glance?

The GOP faces a pretty big hurdle, just as big as whatever blowback Democrats may get from obstructing Trump: the Republican Party now OWNS the government.

4 years from now, if the economy hasn't seen a substantial amount of growth (and a real uptick in full-time employment) for the working-class - and specifically Trump voters - the paternity test for placing the blame will be a very simple one: Trump can't Tweet food onto the table, and people are loyal to the god that feeds them.

Martin O'Malley? I didn't particularly have anything against him, but he was a DLC'er hanging around with the likes of Harold Ford (no relation, thank Christ!) not very long ago. So I doubt he would have been much better than Hillary, in terms of policy. Though admittedly, he didn't have that annoying cunt yelling voice of hers.

I might have considered a vote for him in November, but it wouldn't have made much of a difference electorally speaking.

That makes as much sense as saying that YOU voted for Brexit. Mean Tangerine was NEVER going to win my state - not in popular votes, nor electoral votes. And I have no influence in how other states vote. I suppose I could have gone to Arizona and tried to vote down there, using the address of one of my family members in that state (much like Mittens Romney did in 2012 with his son's basement) but AZ's electoral votes were pretty much condemned to go Orange, so that wouldn't have mattered either.
