The Trumptard Dick Just Got Smaller

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a Maryland ban on 45 kinds of assault rifles today, NBC reports. In a 10-4 ruling the court said banned guns aren’t protected by the Second Amendment.
“Put simply, we have no power to extend Second Amendment protections to weapons of war,” Judge Robert King wrote for the court..."

An assault rifle has a full auto option on the selector lever. In short an assault rifle would be classified as a machine gun and those were banned from sale to the general public in 1934. Either NBC News doesn't understand how to properly classify firearms or the law is poorly written. Let's say Maryland wants to ban AR-15 rifles the propper term would be Semi-Automatic rifles not Assault Rifles.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

Funny, when I was in the Army we were strongly discouraged from ever putting our M-16A1's on full auto because they became completely innacurate. The term "assault rifle" is coined from a directly from the German term "Sturmgewehr" was never used officially when I was in and the term was "battle rifle" or "personal weapon".

The problem the NRA has with their propaganda is that these reduced cartridge or small caliber variant weapons were long ago deemed the most effective, efficient means for soldiers to kill people. Whether they're fully auto cyclic or semi-automatic, they are still militarized weapons and it's funny how they're nearly always the choice of mass-shooters...
