Thought Cornell was a great, great rock singer.

Man, what a fuckin' VOICE that guy had.

Really liked Soundgarden quite a bit. Can't say I was anything approaching an avid Cornell fan in terms of following what he did post-1997 or so. Heard bits here and there.

Don't know the specifics of his personal life, or his death (overdose, suicide, etc.)...tremendous rock singer. Seems a shame he passed at such a relatively young age, though I suppose that's true of a lot of people who die in their early 50s.
