Apparently the state made the decision in September to NOT use any Diebold type of electro-fraud "voting" machines in November's election.

So.... ballots actually get counted, and Democrats win. Imagine that.....

My name is Lee Carter, and I just won a race that no one ever thought was possible. Thanks to your dedication to progressive candidates such as myself, I will be sworn in next year as the next Delegate for Virginia's 50th district.

While many thought my victory was impossible, we were able to prove them wrong because of your commitment to the political revolution. As a Marine, this belief of service has been guided by the core values of the Marine Corps -- honor, courage, and commitment. This idea of serving others is not unique to the Marines, we learn it from watching others as children and adults. Recognizing the service of those to our country on Veteran's Day is critical in developing the values that can improve the lives of Americans.

Whether you are a veteran, a relative or friend of one, or someone who believes that our higher purpose in life is to help one another, we are united to a common goal. For me, the most important value I hope to instill in others is to put people over profits. It’s this belief -- instilled in me witnessing my father's service in the Navy -- that inspired me to serve as a Marine, and now in the Virginia House of Delegates.

While I was on active duty in Kuwait in 2009, I was injured by a 400lb crate of radios that dropped on my leg. The container sliced my leg so deep that I could see the muscle. As a Marine, I was able to get treatment and the time I needed to recover quickly. As a private citizen in Virginia, when I suffered a workplace injury, I was not as lucky. I could barely walk for months and I was worried every day how I was going to provide for my family. Once I could walk again, I decided I should not just walk, but run for office so that others would not have to go through what I endured.

This Veteran's Day I hope we all pause to recognize the service that so many have made for our country and the values that their service has inspired us to hold deeply. To those of you that have served, thank you. And to those of you that recognize that service, I hope you are inspired as I was to become more involved. To organize for a better future. And to work together to accomplish what others think is impossible.

What happened on Tuesday is just the beginning. Your role in reshaping our politics and winning more races is critical and I hope you will continue supporting candidates that support the political revolution.
