WOW ! Not one response in over 10 minutes ? How the mighty have fallen... I guess we are all getting smarter....believe it when I hear it/see it.....
Yeah, well, what the fuck, you know?
Ed has claimed at various points that he had 4 to 10 albums "in the can"...what fucking good does that do anybody if he doesn't release it?
To be sure, when Cherone quit in 1999, every time Ed demonstrated some sign of life, I'd get stoked: "Man, he's out playing golf...okay! This is a sign the Roth-reunion is just around the corner!!"
Roth has been back with the band for a decade.
Maybe Ed IS working on some new music.
Great.
Honestly.
If he puts it out, I'm game.
If not, whatever.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Hagar's lyric over that riff: "wooo!"
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
Hagar can get a new gig now..... Lead vocalist slot just opened up in the Partridge Family.

The riff is literally a single note plucked 20 or so times. ADKOT came out in 2012. We are closing in on 6 years since any new music and people are losing their minds over jugjugjugjugjugjugjugjugjug... Madness.
It's a bit, not even a riff never mind a song.
At least it was shocking when he did so fucked up and hammered beyond everything on the NAMN thing. Now it's just "yeah...nice...tell us again about those ten albums in the can...whatever..."

Jesus...I really bothered to watch that shit...fucker wants to sell his striped Korean made shit for x-mas...no riff, no song, no nothing...typical evh-noodling...fohgeddaboudid...
And so the homoerotic obsession continues.
Having finally seen the clip, it's just a little less than a minute of just what you said: typical EVH wanking, the last 8 seconds or so of which contains what DLR Bridge said, that being a single lower note picked quickly and a chord played a few times.
I mean, if someone wants to pick gnat shit out of that pepper and portend 45 seconds of Ed futzing around is a sign of anything other than Ed futzing around...well, I guess if you want something bad enough in terms of new VH music anything is better than nothing...but...no.
FFS, this is what it's really come to... I'm literally laughing out loud....
And BTW, new music is absolutely the LAST thing I'm thinking about with VH.... That dog ain't huntin' anymore, boys....
The one and only thing I think they have left before they go out to pasture is the 40th anniversary tour, and that'll be that....
Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. I’m an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
I mean, I have to laugh at my own willingness to pick gnat shit out of pepper in the late 1990s/early 200s right after Cherone left, when all the talk of Van Halen playing the Superbowl/Van Halens new Eat They Neighbor album with lead off single Tabula Rasa would be released/Van Halen rehearsing with Dave in the summer of 2001 (which turned out to be true, but didn't lead in the end to anything special in terms of the CVH lineup reuniting) rumors were flying around. Each new rumor causing me to try and read tea leaves that didn't end up even existing, so badly did I want to see CVH take to full fruition what they dabbled with in the summer of 1996.
So, I get the mindset of spinning up something out of nothing. The reality of that 45 second blurb is just what DavidLeeNatra said: Ed has yet ANOTHER official EVH guitar - probably at least a dozen of which have come out over the last 25 years - and he was making a plug for it.
If someone wants to take the last several seconds of that clip and spin that into the impending release of Fair Warning 2 because they want to believe Van Halen still have enough ambition, creative drive and juice left in the tank to put out such an album, have at it, Hoss.
Such folks may want to take a hard look at what the band has actually accomplished with Roth over the last ten years and rethink that belief.
It won't be shocking if the band, such as it is now, doesn't even reconvene next year for a 40th anniversary tour. It won't be shocking in the least if the band does nothing at all. I mean, if they're gonna DO something, why wait? The band is already old. Time is running out. I suppose they can keep churning out the CVH Greatest Hits Experience featuring Wacky Uncle Dave live as long as people are still willing to pay to see it, but I doubt the band is capable of anything more than that.
It's done.
Van Halen went out with a whimper.
Probably.......that's a laugh, more bullshit.....I figured why not post it here for shits and giggles. The guy that said he talked to Ed seemed convincing enough. Not that I really bought into it much. Or any of us for that matter. He gave little for details, he said Ed told him the vid would be up probably before turkey day. He must have done all the talking....probably to a photo in a magazine ? LOL !
Dave will be playing in Houston April for a fundraiser. Think his time with Ed is over.....
Maybe Van Halen itself is over...
Wouldn't be a shock.
HOLY FUCK!!!! NEW MUSIC!!!! NEW ALBUM!!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
There's a better chance Va Beach farts Unchained in four part harmony on YouTube...
and lets be honest...it would likely sell better....
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
Yeah, I'd have to agree.
I wanted to see them get back with Roth in a live setting ever since 1996, the first year since the 1985 split when it seemed like such a thing could be possible...and, truth be told, when it SHOULD have happened (instead of wasting another decade when they were already on the wrong side of 40 in terms of having the ability to perform the music created by much younger men and still have it retain the energy and fury).
Well, I got 3/4s of what I wanted in the end. Saw 'em with Dave twice post-1984. Mixed bag both of those times: depending on the tour, either Eddie or Roth wasn't quite up to it. That being said, both tours had moments where it all came close enough to firing on all cylinders. I mean, they waited too long to put it together, but c'est la vie. The music they put out way back when still does the job for me, and they had far, far more hits than misses on the 6 pack stuff far as my ears are concerned: the legend of what CVH created is such that even the slipshod nature of what they've been doing the last 30 odd years hasn't diminished that stuff for me.
Not one iota.
