I dropped in to let those of you who remember SunisinuS know that he recently passed away due to an
untreated high blood pressure condition. He was living in Hawaii at the time.
He truly loved this site and the people he knew here.

Sorry to hear that. My brother died from the same thing. He wasn't into seeing doctors so he wasn't going in for his annual checkup. The result was a heart attack at age 51.

Well.. .so much for 2018 going better than the last couple of years. I've had blood pressure issues in the past myself, so I know how that goes. Been worried about it again for the last year or so, due to a number of factors. Some medical slogan writers called it "the silent killer", but I don't think that's true at all. You know when your blood's "boiling". Just have to find a way to control it, be it through medication, dietary changes, getting your stress levels down or a combination of all the above. And of course, some folks have the genetic factor against them on top of all that.

Sad that Sunisinus couldn't find the solution in time. Hopefully some good can come of this if it inspires some of us old farts to take the hint and get your own BP under control.

I share the sentiment... Sadly our generation/age group has entered the early end of the average lifespan zone. Within that range the folks at the front of the line are passing. It'll only get worse over the next 15-20 years. The cycle of life continues... enjoy it while you can!!
