    Yeah, it is kinda sad. Perhaps sadly all too common these days, for a lot of aging bands across a wide range of styles, where for a variety of reasons (ego, money, bad blood between certain members) these bands that theoretically are able to tour with the original/definitive lineups, don't.

    I suppose the surprise with Fleetwood Mac is that they already tired ditching Buckingham once thirty years ago, and that didn't work out well for them back then.

    From what Buckingham had to say recently, apparently his departure wasn't something he had any input with or a choice about one way or another. Seems a shame for the fans, particularly since the entire Rumors lineup are still vertical and able to perform. I mean, I can't say as Tom Petty's lead guitarist and the singer from Crowded House are two people I would find acceptable as a substitute for Buckingham, particularly since Buckingham seemingly still wants to play with the band.
