Take the fall and get paid and enjoy the money you got without having to be bothered by being president. Senators really don't do anything anymore. Lot's of vacation time to enjoy things.No! It's all in the definition. Half the political parties in Europe are in a Democratic Socialist alliance in the EU including the likes of Tony Blair's party and no one there looks like wanting to start nationalising banks any time soon.Comment

The cold war mentality programmed everybody to equate "socialism" with "communism". And for that matter, to equate "communism" with Stalin's USSR or Mao's China, as opposed to anything Karl Marx actually wrote about.
Of course Marx based his theories on the old Jewish Kibbutz system. Bernie himself actually lived in a Kibbutz in Israel for a while.... of course that was back in the pre-Likud/NuttyYahoo days, when there was still some sanity present in that country's leadership.
I consider myself a "Democratic Socialist" in the same way that Bernie does.... in the respect that some things, such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare (among others) should NEVER be privately owned, for profit systems. But I have never, nor will ever advocate that government own "the means of production". I don't mind that corporations make my shoes, my car, or my TV. I'd just rather they did so in America and paid their workers a living wage.Eat Us And Smile

Socialism can work but you have to have very honest people in the system and it tends to fail with large populations. Socialism tends to go broke due to people cheating the system.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Trump is surrounded by enemies and they will wear him down. Mueller is successfully using the RICO laws and has legally managed to get past the Attorney/Client Privilege and now he's got everything. Cohen was Trump's fixer. I don't think they will really find anything that criminal but they can dig up juicy stuff that Trump wants hidden. Add this on top of the stress of being president and you can crack a tough egg. It's psychological warfare. We will have to see what dirt they throw out. They are hoping Trump will just say fuck it and resign. Trump has a huge ego and likes to win but a lot of that is bravado. We are going to see how tough The Donald actually is.No! Unlike unregulated capitalism?
When people cheat the benefits of 'socialism' they get a few bucks more and spend it so it goes back into the economy.

Trump has surrounded himself with criminals which is why the system is now wearing him down. In the same way that you can't even get a blowie without a ridiculous amount of shit when you are president, being shady as fuck is going to come back to haunt you.
Cohen was never Trumps attorney he was his guy for making crooked deals and as you say fixer. He only became Trumps lawyer very recently as a way to try and hide behind attorney/client privilege which doesn't extend to protecting criminality.
I don't quite get why you come across as being sympathetic to this.Comment
