Wow...Fox just gets more and more ludicrous these days. It's like PRAVDA or something.

So Hannity isn't a client and Cohen isn't his attorney, but he expected attorney-client privilege?

It's psychological warfare. We will have to see what dirt they throw out. They are hoping Trump will just say fuck it and resign. Trump has a huge ego and likes to win but a lot of that is bravado. We are going to see how tough The Donald actually is.
        Yeah...maybe.

I mean, who really knows what Mueller has. Even if Mueller just managed to dig up Trump's financials and an accurate estimate of Trump's actual net worth, making that public would be enough to send Trump into a tizzy.

Far as toughness, I will say Trump knows how to counter-punch. At least legally in terms of both initiating lawsuits and not running for cover whenever he has been sued. How useful those tactics would be against Mueller is an open question, and I tend to think not very much: Trump through his lawyers has said that any investigations about Trump's finances or activities outside of the Russian angle would be a red line, but apparently Trump had a hard time wrapping his mind around the concept that Mueller doesn't take marching orders from or adhere to guidelines set by Trump: Mueller reports to Rosenstein, and Rosenstein isn't going to be a proxy telling Mueller what to do based on what Trump wants.

As of yet, there's no direct evidence demonstrating Trump ordered his campaign surrogates to collude with Russian intelligence officials. There are plenty of patterns suggesting sketchy behavior on the part of his surrogates that Trump SHOULD have known about.

I think Trump is just riding all of this out, because he has nothing to lose by waiting. He can pardon everyone convicted as the result of Mueller's investigations. I believe Trump can even pardon himself should it come down to it. Maybe Trump is just waiting to see what the congressional midterms bring: should the Dems retake Congress, Trump could end up ordering Rosenstein to fire Mueller during the interim period between the elections and the swearing in. If Rosenstein won't fire Mueller, Trump certainly can fire Rosenstein and keep firing down the line under he gets someone at the DOJ who WILL fire Mueller a la Bork and Cox in 1973.

All of which assumes that Mueller will still BE investigating 6 months from now when the mid terms come around.

As long as Trump can still go out and hold packed rallies, I don't see him resigning. Why would he? I mean, short of there actually being video of the Russian hookers peeing on the bed and Trump watching, I can't see what disclosures would mortify Trump enough to resign. Mostly because the man knows no shame.

I really don't think the public care if Trump had hookers piss up a bed. Most probably would love to see the video. There have been so many grab ass presidents. Even Eisenhower had an affair. I don't think anyone believes Donald Trump is a saint. It boils down to self interest. People support politicians who get them something or there is the illusion of betting something from them. Simple as that. Trump's weak point is he's an outsider. He's got the establishment on both sides of the isle wanting him gone. He's only popular with his base. Maybe some of his latest actions are trying to appease the neocons but that's going to hurt him with the voting base. Donald has Alex Jones going apeshit now. Haha!

Yeah, not very. Trump loses the majority of his lawsuits, IIRC. Trying to instigate frivolous lawsuits with an increasing smaller pool of lousy lawyers will not help his case. Apparently Trump dosen't seem to pay his bills, which is effecting his ability to retain lawyers...

Apparently, Trump has now added Rudy Giuliani on his legal team in order to "help negotiate the end of the probe"...when was the last time Giulinai even practiced law? The late 1980s/early 1990s? And what exactly is there to "negotiate" anyway? The probe will be done either when Mueller decides it is, or when Trump fires Mueller: Giuliani, as part of Trump's legal team, has no realistic standing to "negotiate" anything with Mueller in terms of the probe ending.
