I think her routine would be fine in a comedy club but she went over the top for a correspondents diner in Washington DC. It probably won't hurt her career any. Maybe it will help because she will be popular with a certain segment on the left. She played the Sarah Silverman card. She got raunchy. Maybe not really professional for the setting but she's defined herself as a raunchy court jester and she should be able to hustle some dollars doing that. There is money to be made off the current hate Trump fad and she will make some of that.

If I had to listen to that voice every day I'd kill myself.

No Kidding. Sounds like she worked on Wall Street for awhile. What most people don't realize is the average salary for a person who works on Wall Street is $200,000 a year. That's great if you live in Little Rock, Arkansas but when you have to live in New York City that isn't much. That doesn't buy much of a lifestyle. Sounds like she quit that after having her firm go under and working for a few other outfits and stumbled into comedy. Really she's not bad and that voice is perfect for a comedian but if you had to listen to that in the next cubicle you probably would be tempted to slit your wrist with a letter opener or bash her head in with a stapler. Haha!
Apparently that moose, Sarah Huckabee, is such a precious national treasure that no jokes are to be made about her. Of course the punchlines are often unintentionally provided by her...

The feigned outrage about Huckster Jr. is just the cover story that the corporate whore media is putting out. What they are REALLY pissed off about is the fact that Wolf called them - the corporate media whores themselves - out on their complicity on getting Cheeto in office in the first place, and profiting from him being there, no matter how much damage it does to the rest of the country.
The corporate media wants you to forget what CBS's Les Moonves said about Cheeto during the 2016 campaign.....

It's always a weird cringey gig.
The best one ever was Colbert but even that was a bit difficult to watch.
I think she went after Trump not having money because she knew it was the thing he hates most.
Trump made one rule for his Comedy Central roast which was the comedians could say anything about him or his family apart from saying he wasn't rich.
On the backlash about this in the media.
1) I've never seen one where the comedian universally went down well with everyone, it's not that kind of gig. She went down as well in the room as they usually do. On YouTube this video has 2 to 3 times more likes than dislikes. Even with that voice.
2) I think there is some sexism going on here. I didn't think she was much if at all ruder than usual.
3) People uncomfortable with the president being ridiculed to this level have to remember who the president is - a reality TV star who was on a TV comedy roast just a few years ago.
4) Trump is a coward not turning up.
5) FORD makes a great point about the media making money from Trump and she did too calling them out. They created him.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders sounds like she would tie you up and fuck you to the back of your teeth with a big strap on dildo if you misbehave during one of her White House press conferences.
I could not agree more. This whole damn thing gets blown out of proportion. Everyone needs to lighten up.

Irony? Killed with a Fred Bear bow...
Shit. Kim Jong Un just went to south Korea and met the president there and had peace talks. The south Korean president said Trump was instrumental in making this happen and nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace prize. Unemployment is falling and Trump's approval rating keeps rising. Do you really think Trump gives a rat's ass about correspondence diner?
ZahZoo (05-02-2018)
The winner is Wolf. It got her lots of press coverage and more people will go to see her because of it. Beats Leno totally bombing a few years back at the dinner. It's like that porn star. More people are coming out to see her since she got some media coverage because of Trump. Trump=$$$$ to these people.
The thing is this correspondence dinner will be soon forgotten but Sarah Huckabee Sanders will remember it. If Wolf gets a nasty IRS audit next year I won't be surprised. Haha!
That's a big part of his cowardice though. I don't give Chimpy Bush credit for much, but he showed up for those gigs and was a good sport about it when the jokes were aimed at him, including Colbert's appearance and the lookalike who showed up to speak along side him.
On the other hand, that actor died prematurely, so maybe the BCE didn't really appreciate his act that much after all.....
I really don't think Trump is losing sleep over people thinking he was a coward for not showing up to the correspondence diner. Strategically he has nothing to gain going to it. He really could kick the press out of the West Wing and turn that room back into a swimming pool and bang whores in there like JFK used to do.
Reality is that Cheeto is probably still carrying a grudge about the time he showed up at one of these gigs while Obama was in office, and Barry roasted him!
I certainly don't feel even the smallest amount of sympathy for Trump re: the nastiness of the language in some of Wolf's comments as well as the content. Mostly, because Trump has demonstrated throughout his life a consistent nastiness of his own that he ratcheted up several notches when he ran for president and has exhibited on plenty of occasions since he won the election. In short, he's an unrepentant jerk and takes pride in it. His supporters bemoan Wolf's comments as being demeaning to the Office, as if Trump somehow gets a pass for his boorish behavior simply because he is the President: it doesn't work that way. Any president has to earn respect. Trump likes to insult people because it fires up his base.
One only had to watch the 2012 dinner and see Trump sitting in the audience seething as Obama roasted him to realize that Trump will never attend such a gathering - one where the speakers and crowd don't automatically fall over themselves to give Trump obsequious praise - again. It's the same reason why Trump only speaks to reporters/journalists/commentators on Fox News: Trump simply can't take criticism. Thin-skinned to the point where it makes his jerkish tough guy persona nearly as laughable as the amount of Trump supporters who buy into the notion of Trump BEING a tough guy. It's the same reason Trump held...what...one single solo press conference in the first year of his Presidency: he's not going to get up behind the podium and subject himself to critical questions from non-Fox media representatives. He'd rather chat with a toady such as Doocy or Hannity. Trump can't even tolerate his own Cabinet Secretaries offering their own points of view to him when said views differ from his own!
In the year and a half from Trump's announcement to the election, I never saw the majority of mainstream media outlets dissecting Trump's business practices and past business associates with even close to the level of scrutiny they gave toward Hillary Clinton and her emails. I never heard any mainstream reporters calling Trump out on his past business practices and the shady business associates he had all over the world. You had to read a reporter like David Cay Johnston to get any relevant info on Trump's business practices, or go to print media such as The New Yorker: virtually NOTHING in terms of television. Now, this doesn't mean Hillary didn't deserve all the scrutiny she got (ANY presidential candidate does), but comparatively Trump got a pass in terms of tough questions from television-based news media.

Well you don't like Trump but lot's of people do and the south Korean president nominating him for the Nobel Peace prize doesn't hurt his standing either. I'm looking at the Democrats and wonder who they are going to run against Trump. The Democrat Party has money problems, leadership problems, and they don't seem to have anything to run on besides Hate Trump. In short, I'm not seeing any strategic thinking here. All Trump has to do is keep his base happy and he's going to be hard to beat in the next election. The Mueller investigation has dredged up nothing and has pretty much become a joke. Sure if the Democrats win enough seats they can impeach Trump but Bill Clinton got impeached and that didn't hamper him as president. All the talk about the correspondence diner is just partisan banter. It's something to talk about but in a real political strategic sense it's not relevant to anything. The Democrat Party need to get busy putting a legitimate product together to sell the public on and HATE TRUMP isn't going to win them anything. It's an echo chamber.
Politics always has been a pissing match and why waste your time going to a function that you aren't going to get anything out of anyways? Your opposition is going to slag you regardless. The big winner is Wolf. She will have more people coming out to see her comedy routine. It's niche marketing. The next time someone organizes an anti-Trump rally be there selling Trump voodoo dolls. They will be a hot item. Then you can go on a Hawaiian vacation to escape all the political noise and bullshit.

I agree with all of that, save for Trump being hard to beat in the next election: it will hardly by default be a walk in the park for whomever the Democratic candidate in 2020 is. We'll have to see just how happy Trump's base is 2 years from now in terms of the white working class voters and the amount of improvement they've seen in their pocketbooks in 2020 vs. 2016. However, I can see him winning re-election far easier than I can see him being removed from office. The WHCD is largely irrelevant to the country on a broad scale: by and large, only Beltway insiders and the media give a shit about it. And I'm not seeing or hearing much from the Democratic Party in terms of what they're standing FOR going forward, other than opposing Trump.
Who knows, though, what Democratic turnout will be like in 2020 should the party nominate someone who isn't as widely disliked as Hillary Clinton was, now that the notion "Trump could never win the presidency" has been disproven thus reinforcing the fact that every Democratic voter NEEDS to turn out on Election Day: Trump loses 5% of his 2016 base in the wrong states and the Dems nominate a better candidate than HRC (shouldn't be hard, although admittedly the Dems have the awful propensity of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory), we're talking a different ballgame.
Trump doesn't go to the dinner and everyone forgets in a month.
Trump goes to the dinner and sulks...but the memes live on forever.
I was watching this just now and it's amazing to compare the current and former president reactions to being joked about...
