Hell, isn't that the only song most bagpipe players even know? At least in the States. Well, that and Amazing Grace, but they only drag that one out at funerals.

The history of this is that for decades Scottish fans would boo the British national anthem when it was played before football matches partly because many wanted Independence but also because in the same way the US anthem has a verse about slavery, there is a later verse about crushing the Scots. They replaced it with Scotland the Brave but no one knows the words so they changed it to Flower of Scotland.
The problem with it is it's slow and plodding and not always very inspiring and some people think the words are overly anti England instead of being more upbeat.

Bagpipes are fine in small doses but you wouldn't want to listen to them all day.
It's not by accident that they used to be banned classified as a weapon.
