    Transmission Imposible

That s one of the names the Van Halen are considerating for the brand new album. Despite all the fake news that say the 2019 VH album is the US Festival plus DLR 1994 gig, the real new Van Halen album is a studio recording thats already in the can. The promotion will start December 12 nd according to VH management.

If there's an album titled "Transmission Impossible", it's not likely going to be any sort of official release. That title is used by a bootleg record company which has put out a rather large catalog of work, though the "quality" of their releases is usually pretty bad. Here's a few examples of their work....

In all my years here that may be the least likely rumor I've ever heard.

        First I'm hearing about it.

Although, to be fair, I'm not hearing any rumors unless I'm reading them on this site.

That's actually not a bad title. Though it probably would have been more fitting if there had been a true reunion in 1996. Not so sure if the current band of geriatrics could live up to the name "giants"

Honestly, even if Mike rejoins tomorrow, my reaction won't be much more than a shrug.

They could have - SHOULD have - done it 20 years ago.

By the time they got 3/4's of the way to doing it...well, there were some good moments here and there. Virtually NONE of it really rose to the level of what the band did when they were peaking.

Van Halen just plain waited too long. Snooze you lose. Whatever. The band padded their retirement fund. The activities post-2006, despite some really rough spots throughout, weren't abysmal. Not nearly as abysmal as I expected going into 2007.

Van Halen had their time, and they simply ruled that time. They came out of the gate 1st record-wise when the older bands were running out of steam, and Roth left JUST after the hair metal deluge began. For those 6-odd years, Van Fucking Halen ruled.

I suppose I could lament their not being able to put it back together in a timely enough manner to truly kick ass for a 2nd time, but thankfully the first time around got the job done.
