I want to make something very clear: this fight is not about me.
This fight is about making sure our democracy works for and represents everyone who has ever put their faith in it. It’s about fighting for every Georgian who cast a ballot with the promise that their vote would count.
It does not matter if you voted for me or my opponent. Every voter – regardless of party affiliation, race, or region – deserves to have a say in our Georgia.
Right now, our campaign is pouring all of our resources into ensuring every ballot cast is a ballot counted. We are not taking our eyes off of this process, even for a moment.
Because movements for change are not built overnight, and they do not end when polls close. They take WORK. And although this election is currently in overtime, our message remains the same. In fact, it is louder now than it has ever been: We are going to keep our word to Georgians and honor our commitment to voters.
This isn't about vote counts. It is about values. It is about whether we choose to hear every voice and count every vote. Whether we will have a Georgia for the many or a Georgia only for the privileged few. Whether we save a seat at the table for hardworking Georgians across our state – Georgians who came into work late waiting to cast their ballot, or who left work early to get in line – or whether we honor their sacrifice by silencing them.
Their voices deserve to be heard. And that is why we will continue this fight.
My team will reach out over the next few days with updates and ways you can help. But for now, I wanted to let you know that just because Election Day has come and gone, our fight is not over. Our focus is to make sure every voter is heard, and we continue fighting for progress – knowing full well that the better, brighter Georgia we seek is always over the next hill.
