Well, the tone starts at the top.

No senior staffer or Cabinet Member is going to bring a lasting sense of discipline inside the White House unless President Trump desires that discipline. Whenever a Cabinet Member, or a Senior Advisor or a Senior Staff Member has departed, the prognostication that "things are REALLY going to be fucked up now that THIS person is leaving" is trotted out. The problem is, this White House has been chaotic - partly from being stuffed with 2nd and 3rd rate hambones, partly from the personality of the President himself - from Day One. I haven't seen a downward trajectory over the last two years in terms of quality or performance due to various departures, because both those characteristics were flatlined from the first day.

For what it's worth I wish someone would call out Trump on his $40 million cost claim. The real figure is closer to $27 million but in any case Manafort has had $46 million seized so either way it's actually in profit.
