He would of had to have advance notice of the President's planned route through Dallas to position himself where he did to assassinate JFK. I believe he fired the shot that killed JFK but I'm not 100% convinced he acted alone or was the only shooter that day. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but the theory that someone or some group that wanted LBJ to replace JFK to expedite our involvement in the Vietnam war assisted or used Oswald doesn't sound that far fetched to me.

Well Saddam was our guy. The CIA put him in power back when we wanted to keep the Soviets out of the middle east. That's why Saddam said we turned on him before he got yanked on a rope. The truth about the middle east is nice guys don't last long there. You have to be a ball breaker to stay in power. Saddam did his job. Even though Saddam was an SOB he loved western things and kept the commies and radical muslims out of power in Iraq. He was a good hedge against Iran. Then we double crossed him because the geopolitical objectives changed after the cold war ended.

Sadly, the US has a long history of aiding/cozying up to foreign leaders who didn't reflect our best ideals, but with whom an alliance was seen as being in our best interests. Along with a post-Vietnam proclivity of not intervening militarily in genocidal catastrophes on a purely humanitarian basis when said instances weren't deemed in our immediate national interest.

The rest of the world has taken note.
