I especially wouldn't castigate them if they played backing tracks of other peoples' music!

Although to be fair, Vince Neil has always been a shitty live singer. Even back in the 1980s.

              Yeah, he kind of was...

He sounded okay on the Too Fast For Love album.

Sounded like he was doing too much coke when they recorded the Shout At The Devil album. Saw 'em open up for Ozzy in 1984, and he sounded even more coked up live then he did on the album: he just couldn't cut it. And this was when the band was still young.

Tend to think it took a lot of takes and splicing to get the vocals for the albums after that, because virtually any bootleg you listen to on subsequent tours, Vince just sounds knackered and off-key, totally unable to sing a single tune anywhere near the level it was sung on the album.

I suppose it was sort of vaguely 'rock star' cool back in the 1980s for some singers to sound like they were too fucked up to sing well.

Vince Neil undergoes hand surgery. I hope he can still hold a fork...

And 2020 is the 30th (!?!) anniversary of Flesh And Blood...will Poison play all of it?

I don't want to know what these tickets will cost. Too much is my guess.

I don’t think Vince uses a fork. I think he puts his face into a plate of food and eats like a hungry dog.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

Even keeping in mind that these days $20 is a laughably low ticket price for...just about anything...

...honestly, and no sarcasm intended, that's about the high end of what Vince Neil solo would be worth seeing for me...going back 25 years or so, to boot.

I heard some of the Slaughter guys are his backing band but I haven't bothered to verify. Still...Vince doesn't even sing much with Crue, it's always hold out the mic and the crowd does it. No Sixx, no Lee, I can't be bothered.

Which is somewhat irksome when ANY lead singer holds out the mic continually throughout the show prodding the crowd to sing: a few times a show, fine. Anything beyond that...I'm not going to a show to hear how well the CROWD sings, you know? For me, what Lee and Mars did performance-wise on the records was the most interesting part of Motley Crue, even though Sixx wrote a good chunk of the material.
